• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi everyone. Al from Vegas here. New to the forum. Looks great, though! I have a 99 TC610, a 78-ish CR390, an 87 430, and most of a 79 250. I'm doing some SuperMoto on the 610. Glad to be here!

I put money down today on a 2006 te450. Picking it up next weekend. Planning on doing a bit of dual sporting, an enduro or 2 or 3 and to work on the Paul Bunyan Forest trail system.

I am also pretty active on advrider.

Hello all. I am undertaking my first restoration. It was my father's '73 WR 125. Lots of memories with him and that bike. Some very funny only since he did not get seriously injured! Apparently the throttle sticking on those was not uncommon. The bike sat outside in a chicken shed for many, many years, so it is not an easy task. I have everything striped down and put in baggies with labels. The frame is powder coated and I am in the process of rebuilding the motor. Certainly many parts are in order and I have a lot of reading in the forum to do. Thanks ahead of time.

Hi Guys

New here. I am an Aussie & live in Sydney Australia. Just got back into Riding after a 20 year lay off. Just got a 2002 WR 360. Last bike was a 1984 WR 240. You will find some of the Best Enduro riding in Australia, especially where I grew up in Coffs Harbour. I'm hoping I can get a few pointers from you guys on buying stuff form other countries apart from Australia. We get fisted here big time on just about everything in General

Cheers

hi iam charles and i have a 1987 430cc wr husqvarna and i bought it used and the guy told me that the reason that it would not start was that it had a bad coil. i put a new coil on it and when i put it on it had a light spark every 20 cranks and then no spark at all. then i bought a flywheel puller to check the stator and when i pulled the flywheel off there was a lot of mud around the stator. i pulled the stator off and cleaned around it so this is where i am at at this point. i would appreciate any help that you all could give me in any way.
