• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Welcome to the forum! Introduce yourself here!

New guy here. I'm on the west side of Washington state, the rainy side. Just picked up a 2009 TE250 and found this side recommended by other Husky riders. Great information. I already found out here how to set my speedo to MPH after struggling with the cryptic manual.

Heyo, new to the husky world. Picking up an 09510smr hopefully this week. It'll see it's first track time 7/6,13,14 and make it's loudon road race debut, along with mine, 7/16. Cheers peeps.

Hello All Husky Riders - newbie on site

My name is Mike. I am new to the Husqvarna world as well as 4-strokes. Been on the site since March reading as much as I could before buying bike. Purchase my first "new" bike a 2009 TE450 from Dan at Motoxotica. Dan was great.Fair prices and stocks lot of extras. Terrific service and very knowledgeable about the Husky brand.

The "Rookie Move"
Still in the break-in period as had to wait for the snow to melt in the back country before could get out and ride, plus work gets in the way. (wish it would go away like the snow!). So mostly short trips to store and couple fire road jaunts.

My first big ride was planned for this last weekend. Bike loaded onto carrier everything ready to go for next day . Get up early to hit the trail up on Kingsbury grade hear in South Lake Tahoe. About 6 miles from my house, car behind me starts flashing lights trying to get me to pull truck over. Pull over and the driver approaches my car.....
"Hey, I thought I'd pull you over as we saw your seat fly off the bike about 4 miles back on the road.".....
I look at my bike and sure enough the seat is gone! Drove up and down the road few times but it was gone for good. Appears someone picked it up real quick. So much for my first big ride!

Had trouble with that D-ring screw from the very beginning as would not clamp down all the way to hold seat secure. Fortunately, Dan at Motoxotica had new seat in stock and shipped out which I received very next day! Great Service.

My first ride report and photos will have to wait another week. Looking forward to all the great knowledge and info that can be shared between members here on CafeHusky.

peace
Michael

Hey there guys! Here's my introduction (I'll try to keep it short)

My name's Maurice, 23 years old and I live in the Netherlands.
I've been crazy about bikes (and cars) ever since I can remember, just like a lot of others on here.

A few months ago I was finally able to purchase my very first motorcycle. Years of waiting and saving up money finally paid off!
It's an '08 SM510R and it's an absolutely awesome bike. The thing puts a smile on my face everytime I ride it, pure fun!

And the day I picked up my first new bike (2006 TE250) I pulled my Tacoma into the garage with the bike in the back of it - with the mirrors up. And of course I broke the mirrors hitting the top of the garage door.

Hello

Hello, New to forum, I live in Salem Oregon. Been ridding Huskys about 11 years. I ride mostly woods and desert. Current bike is a 2008 CR125, love it. Mods are tight squish, Doma, lean jetting, 12 tooth, upped timing, VP c-12. Thing rips. Cool forum, hope to read some good tech. Later

Hello I am Mark and from Southern California.

I am planning on getting a TE250 or TE310, but I registered to see the options for lowering the bike.

I am at 5'6" and with the seat height at 38" it will be very difficult on the trail for me

I am familiar with Koubalinks, but i need a better solution

thanks

400 husky question Just signed up cool site

I have 3 huskies a very clean 86 400 enduro (XC), a 06 TE510, and a project 86 400 motorcross. I've owned the enduro 86 sence 88 and I still cant remember the letter code(s). I signed up on the forum to find what issues I might have with grey gear case oil in the 86; I know it means h2o but can it be comming from the motor or is it from sitting in garage.?

Anyway I did search but found nothing... any guidence where to look would be appreciated.
