• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi,

My name is Eduardo and I'm from Portugal. Came from a Honda CRE125 '99 (great bike!!) and now I've got a TE250 '09 (full power). I'm loving it.

Hi, I'm Joe from Maryland and wanted to check in. I dabble in XC & Trials meets around the Mid-Atlantic area on vintage and post vintage bikes. My wife is tolerant of my mid-life escapades claiming at least it's better than me buying a Corvette and finding a new girlfriend... Besides, my 15 year old son loves the twin shock 2-strokers too. I look forward to exchanging all things Husky with the group and appreciate the opportunity.

Hey there. The name's Thomas and I finally pulled the trigger on a 2010 TE 250. Wow. One trail ride in and I'm loving this bike!

Hello! Sneeker here from San Diego County Ca.

After years of riding trusty Honda XRs I am moving on... I just purchased a 2007 TE250 and am very glad to see a web community dedicated to Huskys.

I will many have questions as I farkle with my TE250 to made it just right for me.

Thanks

hello

hello....new guy here. Looking at new bikes. Currently riding a 300ktm but always liked Husky. Had a 80 wr250 as a kid. Dad still rides his 79 wr250. Looking forward to seeing what the 2011-12 bikes bring to the table. Sounds promising. Forum looks great.

Hi!

Hello Cafe Husky, new member here. I usually hang out on ADV, but the Husky traffic there is a little low. I had a WXC 610 (with WXE kit) for 10 years and just traded it in on a new 09 TE450. Only two rides on it so far, LOTS of setup to do, and this seems to be the place for sharing Husky info.

Hello

Hello all. After getting into vintage Huskies to race VMX a few months back I have spent quite a bit of time lurking here and have learned a lot, figured it is time to get properly on the board and start giving back.

Good morning everyone,

My name is Dave and I too am a "Husky-holic"...(everyone at the same time... Hi Dave...)

I am getting ready to trade in my 08 XR650l for a new 09 TE510 at the local dealer here in north Atlanta. Seem to be good people and willing to let me come by every so often and sit on stuff and make vroom-vroom sounds.

Is there a sticky for must do's, should do's, and ya better do's for this year model? This will be my last purchase for quite some time and I want to do it right. I have read a lot and came to my decision after weighing the CRF450x, KTM 530 EXC-R, TE 510, and even the Beta 450RR. I kept coming back to the TE for one reason or another so here I am.

Later everybody, and here is to getting my red headed Italian girlfriend home and getting down and dirty!!!

Hi, obligatory first post. Currently ride a Yamaha WR250RX (R with an extra set of X rims etc). Interested in learning more about the SM510R for a possible next bike...

Hello from Alberta

Haven't had a Husky since since I sold my 175 WR:

Essentially a 125 with a kit and blue paint. Loved that bike.

To make amends for my Husky-less-ness I ordered a TE 630 back in December. Actually, two of us Albertans ordered one each at the same time and have been simultaneously climbing the walls waiting for them to ship. They arrived at our chosen dealer on last Thursday. :applause: in Ontario, so it may take a while for the bikes to make their way West.

Other than the Up-Tite skid plate George sent me I haven't decided what other bits are going to be needed to get the bike ready ... but I've been reading a lot of posts here and learning the basics.
