• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Welcome to the forum! Introduce yourself here!

Hi everyone- just picked up a '10 TE450 last weekend. Decided to try a dp bike for a while. I am going to make it a little more dirt friendly (I plan on using it for a variety of D37 events) so any tips on set-up and tricks will be greatly appreciated. Already looking for a bigger tank, if you have on for sale contact me.

My last Husky was an 1985 250XC - great bike. Rode it in the B to V that year and had a blast. Been riding mostly KTM's since. Looking forward to meeting and riding with folks here.

Howdy! Just collected my 1972 450WR. Had a 400CR back in the day. Now I need lots of help with this bike. Also ride an Aprilia Tuono Factory and a BMW R1200GS

Hi guys

This last weekend in a moment of insanity I bought myself a new bike and joined team Husky. Got a practically new 2010 TE450 with just over 1000km's on the clock. I don't know what these bikes come with as "stock", so not sure what has been added to it, but the red anodized bash plate and brake disc protectors are great additions, the arc folding levers are awesome, the carbon fibre exhaust shield looks like it'll save me burnt pants, and black Excel rims look slick.

The bike was owned by an ex-racer so he has already done the mods like capping off the oxygen sensor in the exhaust (I think that's what he did anyway), removed the exhaust tip restrictor, and a couple of other little things. It has the map switch but no custom maps yet - I need to learn all about these. In fact, because this is my first Euro bike, and first EFI bike I have A LOT to learn. Hopefully I can gleen something from the tons of info here, but pointers would be welcome.

The first 3 things I have planned for the bike is to fit up the larger IMS tank that came with the bike, fit some radiator guards, and get the springs changed to handle my hefty 125kg frame. Any other suggestions are welcome...

Hi Guys and Girls, I'm new around here.
I have owned my 2009 TE 450 for just over 2 years. I'm from Australia. I ride on the dirt during the colder months and in the warmer months I throw my supermoto wheels on the bike and ride it on the street. I like this Husky community, it's a 1 stop place to find out anything i need to know about my bike.
Cheers!

I have been away from the off road seen way too long, working on getting into the dual sport stuff. It's like coming home, I rode Huskys back in the 70's and 80's (I know I am dating myself) I bought a used 08 TE450 from the local BMW dealer, who is now a Husky dealer. I have been thumbing thru the threads, and I already have a lot of ideas and info to work with. Great site!

Howdy Pacific NW rider here. Love my 2 Husky's (08 TE 250 and 09 WR 125). With 2 awesome dealers Bill's in Salem and Tasky's in Everett (and defunct Bike Barn in Medford, OR) owning a Husky has never been easier. I've been riding/racing bicycles for years and work as a bike rep (Kona) and made the jump to the "dark side" motorcycles a few years ago Husky has been a perfect choice. Great bikes and great dealer support.

Also great forum.

Cheers
