• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Welcome to the forum! Introduce yourself here!

Hi all, my name is Tim & I Just heard about this site over @ KTMTalk. It's nice to see people that still like Huskys. I like the earlier models, still have my 83 XC 500 and a 83 500CR, along with an 02 KTM520 EXC plus a few others. Anyway I thought I'd say hello and hope to chat/meet some people here in the future.

Glad to be here!

Hi there. Just was turned on to this site about an hour ago from a Honda friend. Sold my final two Huskys earlier this year, an 75 400wr and an 06 TC 510. Hope to have another Husky for 09, an TE 610. Nice to see a Husky only site.

Glad to be here, Thanks Coffee, looking forward to using the site. Have an 06 TE 450 love the bike. First one I have owned but really enjoy it.

Do you have any pictures of your 83 Huskies? Would love to see them. I'm hoping there is a Vintage section here as the older Huskies interest me too.

Hey everyone, I've been on TT through my last couple of bikes and just bought my first Husky last month. I'm now the proud owner of an '08 TE510 and loving every minute of it! Looking forward to another great forum, thanks Coffee!

Thanks Coffee! 2007 SMR450 my first Husky, now I'm in love with the brand. TC or TE 450 is next up for me.

Giddyup.

Got some email from Steny, and here I am!

Haven't put much mileage on the husky yet this year, building a house got in the way.... looking to get some offroad touring going during the fall though.

Hope everyone is well.

sorry, i should add a bit more. I've seen a couple of you from thumpertalk.
I bought a new '04 TE450 the same day as a friend bought a used one, January '07. I got tired of sitting there by myself while he was buying one and ended up getting the new one on the floor.

Pretty happy with it, no major issues, like some seem to have had. Sometimes it's a pain to start, but hey, it usually gets going at some point. Worst problem was fuel cock was hosed, all blocked up, no reserve (found out in a bad way), figure it was from sitting there for 2+ years not moving....

So yeah, there are some Husky guys in Japan.... got a bit of an MV agusta fetish, so the husky fit right in. I know they got sold, but so far no difference from my dealers.....

happy to be on board..... (pun absolutely intentional :D )

Nice job Coffee! It,s always good to have options. I finally sold my 07 TE250 and am now happily rippin on a new 08 TE450 with the power up kit. I,m sure this will be a great site. Mykul

New to Cafe Husky

Hello to all my Husky brothers - It looks like this site is well on it's way to being a real asset for Husky riders. I look forward to seeing you on the trail.

Looking forward to this new site developing. Interest seems very good so far. I have an 08TE450 & could not be more into it. I am in Eastern PA & will be at the NE Husky event in Sept.

A very very warm welcome, glad you could make it.
