• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Really great site. I am from Alabama and I just bought my first Husky, 74 CR 250 Mag. Also have 76 Yamaha YZ 125x and 08 Yamaha YZ250f. Saw my first Vintage race last month and will probably find time to join them.

Sounds like you've found a new home in the Vintage Forum, Huskychuck:thumbsup: Thanks for the kudos, too :)

Hello from Cambridge Ontario Canada!

I ride a 2007 TE450 and my wife rides a 2008 TE250. We mostly ride local but have done 3 trips to Hatfield McCoy in West Virginia and are doing a trip to northern Michigan in a few weeks.

I'm planing on hanging out here and learning about places to ride and some tips for working on our bikes.

Randy

Nice to have you here, TE 450 Pilot :applause: Now all you have to do is get Mrs TE 250 Pilot in here ;) My husband and I ride all over the west together and it's a blast!

Hello from Iola, Kansas.

I do not currently own a Husky although the third bike I ever owned was 1975 250 CR, (I was all of 15). I currently ride an 2006 FJR 1300 and love it, but am looking to get back into some dualsport riding. I after some time looking and reading, the TE610 is at the top of the list of bikes I have looked at.

I am hoping to buy one within the next 12 months or so, just have to get a few ducks in a row first. This site is great, alot of very helpful information and opinions, thanks.

Welcome jking32

If you're looking for the prefect dual sport bike look no further than the 610.

It would be the bike of my choice... if I were to get another Husky. :D

Hi all, Ive been out of the game for 10 years or so and finally decided to get back into it.

My old 88' WR430 patiently waits in the shed for a bit of tender loving care, so I recently decided to get an 02' WR360 to see if I catch the riding bug after all the missed years.

Only went on one ride with the 360, and noticed that Husky Australia had $1500 off the price of the new 09' TE450. How could I say NO?????? I guess the bug has bitten.:applause:

Just found this site. Way cool.

Raced the 125 MX scene in the late 70's and early 80's on Yamahas. Always wanted a Husky but they were not competitive back then. Rode Hang Town National and Ponca City Mini Nationals for several years but not quite good enough to get a full factory ride.

Have not been on a bike since 82. Got a wild hair and went to Idaho and bought an 08 TE250 for me and a 09 TT230 for my son. He has been buggin me for years to get a dirt bike.

I forgot how much fun it is to ride......

Yoooohoooooooo****************************************!!!

Welcome buck32. I think you'll love the TE 250 and see how much more bike you have than the TT230. Your son will love the e start on the TT. Post up some pics if you'd like. How old is he?
