• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Welcome to the forum! Introduce yourself here!

Apparently I've been under a very large rock for the last month or so, because I just heard of your new site, Coffee. Congrats. BTW, I only arrived here due to a link provided by someone in a post on ADVrider in the thumpers section. Are you finished w/ TT?

Gary

This looks like my new place....the wife will be happy I'm sure!

I had to come up with a new name since I now live in Sarasota....and desert is one thing they don't have here.

Coffee...the site looks great. Now I can actually post a picture! The wife will be really happy. :p

TT is a great site, nothing has changed in that regard. Fantastic place that covers all brands. Only so much I could do with some convoluted stickies though and I've got some ideas that would not work on TT so I tossed this site up.

Figured I could use it as a blog if no one wanted to post up. Seems some enjoy it though. :)

Alex from Kamloops BC riding an '08 TC450. I tripped over your link on TT's site and came over for a look. Its good to see familiar names here as well.

Welcome aboard. Even some of the names that don't look familiar belong to people you might know, they just have a different nom-de-plum here.

Howdy,
Muddy here,
Just stumbled on this site thru a mentioning of it at TT which the owner used to be a moderator on

Well, knowing first hand the length that he (coffee) was willing to go towards helping a fellow (Husky ) rider
and his streamlining abilities as a moderator I figured now that he actually own the thing…
THIS IS GOING TO BE GOOD!

Hello, I'm David

I have a Husqvarna dealership, and we sell Ducati's too. I have claimed a 2008 TE 610 demo bike as my own. I also ride a TC 250 and my wife has a TE250 lowered and with an IMS 4 gallon tank.
I recently rode my TE 610 equiped with Hepco Becker bags and a 1 gallon gas can, from Bend, to Laguna Seca. I put about 2500 miles on it during the 4 days I rode. I know the 610 seems like a silly choice, but my Multistrada is getting a big bore kit and some new bearings after an incident while riding in sand, and my sport classic is not really that street legal anymore. Since I had just got the Hepco Becker bags mounted on my TE, I rode it.

Last October I was lost in the Varese area trying to find the morbidelli museum and ended up walking into the Husqvarna and MV engine factory. I ended up spending the day there. I also got to see the new factory where, at the time, was puting the rest of the bike together. The entire bike is now made in the new factory. A lot of questions were answered about why some things are the way they are with the bikes we love.

I just found out that there will be a Husqvarna Dealers meeting this year. As a dealer this makes me very happy. Not because of the dealer demo day, although that is the sort of thing that keeps me doing this job. I am happy because an entire day of information about Husqvarna will help me and all the other dealers help customers better with Husqvarna. I really think BMW will bring some needed changes that both dealer and owner will benifit from.

I'm really happy there is a Husky only forum.

Hi, Marcy! Good to see you here! Remember me? We'll have to ride together again when I'm all healed up!

Gotta give credit where credit is due - xfool did the majority of the computer decoding - I just added to it and did the english manual.
I appreciate the welcome though & looking forward to this forum!
