• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi everyone, new Husk(er)?

Well I don't have a Husky YET, due to limited cash, no space and too many bikes whisking too much time away. But I did put some earnest money down on a 2006 610sm, stock with only 2000 miles. I made the mistake of "just going take a look" at it, then the dude let me take a test ride, and whoa! That thing's awesome. I must have it. So we reached an agreement whereby I'll be making small payments and trying to sell another bike I don't like as much, so I can make the final payment and pick it up.

I know another member on here (jckid) who also has a 610sm. She sort of inspired me to take a look at the 610 and I'm really glad I did.

At the moment I don't know that many details of the bike, but will be scouring this and other forums for as much info as I can get without pestering everyone with noob questions. I'm happy to have snagged a deal on a 610 and don't think I'd be as well suited to the higher-strung 630. So you see how I had to ACT NOW

Hi All

Hi, I am Canadian from Montreal now living in Dubai, UAE.
I was an avit KTM owner now switched over to Husky. I own a 2009 TXC-510 and really enjoy this bike.
My only down side is the poor service I get from my local importer.
I have also had no luck with the mother land in Italia.lol No one answers emails.
Heres some issues i am having;
1-All my decals peeled off from the extreem heat here. Was to get the new fenders with empreg deals on them but thats been on order for 6 months. Also the importer will only replace the forward fenders and no additinal decals to cover the rest of the bike.

2-Have most all the tank fender screw inserts rotating. Cannot remove the screws.

I think that enought for a 14 hour bike.

Bike ride real nice once you setup the suspension, good power.

Anyone have any dos and don'ts, would wanna hear from you.

I installed a tach/RPM/water temp display, great value.

Thats all,
See ya
Craig

Hi everyone!

I must say....Husky has my attention. I have my eye on the 2009 WR125....I think that would satisfy my 'need' for a 125 plus a dedicated woods bike....all in one! Any owners with feedback on this bike would be appreciated.

I have 16yrs riding experience (enduro/harescrambles/mx/trials)

Current rides 07 Scorpa SY250R and an 09 KX250F

SoCal TE610

Hi,

I live in sunny San Diego in Southern California, USA.

My 06 TE610 has about 5300 miles on it, and is due for rear shock work as it's decided to stop damping when it warms up (known issue per LTR Suspension)

I get about 1300 miles of mixed pavement/dirt riding from a rear Pirelli MT21, have Dirt Bagz, a JC Whitney topcase (amazing for the $$), IMS 5 gallon tank, barkbusters, heated grips, Alaska Leather seat pad (yes!), and other geegaws that help me have fun offroad.

I'll update my sig over time to include my ride links, etc.

My name is Carl Johansson. I live in the mountains above Fresno Ca. Ride trails, 1 track etc from Ca to Utah. rode the complete cross Michigan cycle trail last summer with my brothers

Just aquired an 05 TE 450 - looking to make it my primary trail / dual sport.

I also ride an 06 KTM 300 XC-W

Huskys rule

I am really glad to see Husqvarna making such a come back, I own two now and will probably have many more in the future!

Thanks for the welcome, I think I am just passing thru

Thank you for the welcome and all the good information. I am a dualsport and sport touring rider, I like the euro bikes the most. I stumbled across a vintage Husqvarna, an '81 430 CR. I don't think I will keep it. I am not the kind of rider for that bike. But, I needed to educate myself more about the bike. This has been a great site for that. I spend alot of time on the ADV website and know that some of you do also. Thanks again.
