• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hello

Hey there,

Just picked up a used te450.
I live in the northern panhandle of WV. This is my 4th Husky.

Ride safe!

Greetings y'all:

Just purchased a '06 SM610 with one previous owner, supposedly "just about your age." Well I bought the thing as a birthday present to myself, I'm turning 60 [Mik Jagger was right, "what a drag it is getting old"]. I guess I was to ascertain that the bike had been ridden mildly because of being owned by another old fart. My riding is anything but mild.

I commute in the badlands of Northern Virginia, inside the Beltway, 22 stop signs, 19 traffic lights, several speed bumps, a thousand lost dawdling cagers, one way, 8.5 miles. I have had a succession of Japanese bikes, mostly singles, a couple of fours, I hope the 610 comes closer to the "ideal bike."

I have gleaned information from all sorts of sources before choosing the 610, I think I have heard of its strengths and weaknesses. I hope to learn from all of you and maybe contribute something in return.

Hey guys, my name is Dave. I currently ride a crf250x but am looking to get onto a Husky this year. I'm here to learn and read. I've been lurking for a while but figured it was time to make an account.

My name is Aaron. I work at Pacific Yamaha BMW. Thought I would join here since we are the new Husky dealer for Vancouver/LM.

Hello from down under

I've got a 2008 TE450 and it is great. I put on the arrow pipe and fitted the plug for the Lambda sensor. I ride with in the Hills a lot on forestry trails. Changed the gearing to 14/51, so it is more manageable. Love the fuel injection. Son-in-law bying Husaberg 570, can't wait to see how we match up against it.

Cheers

Hello all. I purchase a 2008 TE 450 last summer. My first 4 stroke. It is taking a while getting use to a 4 stroke, but I luv it. I'm also looking at getting some supermoto wheels for it. I have heard that KTM wheels will fit, is this true? Oh ya I'm from Kelowna B.C
