• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

What non husky did you cherish at one time?

I fell in love the minute I saw her...

Well as a Can Am Junkie, I must first say that that is a 78-79 370 QualifierII.

Joe, ya got me on that one I was totally guessing on the year.:excuseme:
That was a few years ago.:D

My first enduro was in 79...(picture had the year on the back of it).:busted:
Ya I did take the engine out and painted it black
I then put "175" on the side of the bike.
Not that Can-am needed any help but it sure turned alot of heads
for a "Little 175" do'n wheelie in 3rd and 4th.
Man that bike rocked.

One of my all time favorites.
This bike was truly a brute. We called her Bertha. I loved the bike so much I bought it back from a guy I sold it to even though it was in rough shape. One day I will restore it.

76 MR250 Honda Elsinor Enduro was my 1st race bike & one of my favorites. Anyone remember them?

Yeah I sorta remember. They only made them for one or two years right?
Basically a mx bike with some lighting on them, possibly street legal or was it just enduro legal lighting?

Ya I picked up a used one back about 15-16 years ago.
Price was right. Pretty good shape.
Called it my "Silver Bullet". I remember it had a very tight power band.
And if you weren't in it. the bike was not very powerful.
But if you were you better be hanging on.:busted:

1989 Honda CR125. it had a little sub frame up over the back guard & mounted a xr toolbag. i raced cross country & it was an awesome bike in the scrub. my tare weight doesnt allow me to ride 125 anymore. bugger.

Hell, that's easy since I've only owned 1 Husky so far!

Honda ATC 110
Honda ATC 200X
Suzuki DR250
Honda VFR750
Kawasaki KLR250
Kawasaki KLX300
Loved them all until I knew better................

Currently,
Triumph Sprint-She's a blast and oh so forgiving;)

I used to have a 1976 Triumph, loved that thing, so did the ladies.

Triumphs are really something. I'm learning more of their history now that I've become an owner. Wife's got a Street Triple (675cc) coming in January. Going to have to get a factory tour to both Husky AND Triumph! She'll eat that up! What model did you have? Bonneville?

My Second Bike was a " Mick Andrews Replica" Ossa 250 trials bike. You could really climb anything on this bike. Finding parts was serious work. I was like 15 yrs when i had it. Growing up in the daintree region, i had plenty of fun and learnt alot about balance and " placement ". Could get back into that easy...real easy.:notworthy:

Sort of teasing, here is an internet photo

You always remember your first love..Honda mr50 3 speed with clutch(why did I buy my kids an auto?) I tore that bike up. Loved my xr75 even after dad disconnected the rear brake " 'cause you use it to much!". Last loved dirt bike was a Triumph 750 twin shoehorned into a Rickman frame(You older guys wont believe a relatively young guy like me rode many of these with Montessa engines) We would go to Carnegie and tell the ranger "no, of course not, that bike has straight pipes, much to loud to ride. He he.

1974 norton commando

I love this bike way faster then the 650 Triumph TR6C and 500 A-7 BSA I owned. I love to dust Harleys with it. Never could sell this one. If it would only jump as good as my 430CR.....

Not sure I really cherished my Triumph 500 Tiger. It nearly broke my foot. It nearly killed Dylan. He and I probably looked a little alike (big head of curly hair..130#s or so) but this is him on his bike.

I've always been fond of the Yamaha IT series, and found this gem the other day. Came with the original certificate of origin, headlight works.

Can't wait to run the Evo class in a HS or enduro.

I had one of those only it was an '84. All in all a decent bike for its time.

I'm more concerned with how your treating your Husky since arriving home with the vintage Yamaha. Your outside taking pictures while your Husky is laying wounded on the side lines:busted:

That thing is beautiful. I know nothing about their cars.

Indeed it was. Mine was in the exact same condition but a not so good looking brown color. Drove it 18 years. It did attract the ladies
