• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

What's on your 2011 Husky "wish list"?

An factory hard-parts catalog that exists for all to order from and happens to include a larger tank option for all the bikes. Seems like 610's have been left out in the cold on a lot of simple upgrade options.

aluminium frames , get with the times .
larger tanks at least 8.5L

lower seat height .

What is so great about aluminum frames ? Seems to me that the metal Husky and KTM use is a much more versatile material ?

How about a $3999.99 MSRP so I might be able to justify getting another one.

Aside from that, what would get my attention for a second bike would be an electric start WR300, with larger tank in the 3.0gal range......and seat height no more than 37" (tank and seat ht request for ALL models)

Type of bike that seems missing anymore is the simple casual trail bike or play bike if you want to call it that.......torquey 150-200cc 4stroke, 6spd, electric start, enduro lights, +/-3.0 gal tank, 9.5-11" good suspension travel, 11+" ground clearance, seat ht 35-36", could even be air cooled, ready to ride wt below 250lbs.

The Husky tank I found in the catalouge (P# 8000H2201) holds 2.1 gal. (8.1 ltr)

We talkin' 'bout the same one? :excuseme:

1. TE450 with the counter balancer from the SMR's, 3.5 gallon tank.

2. TE350 w/wider ratio tranny. 3.5 gallon tank.

3. WR300 EFI, 3.5 gallon tank, Street Legal.

Any one of these would find a place in the garage.

Nice thread Krieg!

I'll take an updated WR144 or WR200 with a button.
A Husqvarna line of quality made bicycles would rock my world also. Those orange people have a bike line.

WR Bob

2011 TC450 with good race ready closed course FI and 20lbs less heavy than the '08-'09.
optional bigger tank for it in the hardparts catalogue.

- More parts suppliers/dealers in Canada!
- More Aftermarket parts

I don't think I'll ever be able to justify buying a new bike, therefore I need parts to fix up the peices of junk I can afford. :D

Steel frame is definatly my choice more suppel and forgiveing and less feedback on sharp edges.

agreed,,,,alu tech is cool but Ducati has MotoGp wins and championships using their "old tech" trellis steel chassis.

Alu tech has not won too many world enduro championships either, and now Kato is really on the prowl for MX #1s using the CrMo frames

Steel frame when said and done is 65% cheaper than allum. Rides better and lasts longer too.
