• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I want santa to bring me a titanium frame and axeled, fuel injected, carbon fibered and nickle plated hubs with polished s.s. spokes.
electric start with a 2.5 battery or a maico style compression release.
if it`s electric start i will take a 500, if it is not a 430 will do.
Oh, and i want it to be air cooled with ceramic bearings and piston.
I promise not to be naughty and be TOTALLY nice!
Oh, one more thing.
I would like the girl from the vintage t-shirt web site that is standing next to the Yamaha to deliver the bike and then take me out for happy hour, i think i just blew the naughty thing.
But i will be REALLY nice to her though,:D:cheers:

PS and i want it in 2010 not 2011:thumbsup:

For my 2 cents worth I would love a TE 350 with a 12 litre fuel tank and say 5th and 6th gear a wee bit higher for non bush work.
I would also like a lower centre of gravity, a side stand that is well sorted, & stay with the molly frame.
Really good stock headlight and easier air filter access.
Slightly lower seat height and another inch of ground clearance- guess that means slanting the cyclinder etc.
Stay with the KYB's.

In addition a genuine dual sport 750 te twin- a BMW GS 800 and KTM 990
killer. I would buy it immediately although the new 630 will probably be close to the mark.

That is probably it for the moment folks.

WR 300
Updated steel frame

50mm Zokes ditch the old school KYB's
larger gas tank

Dual map digital ignition.
Price it around $5K
