• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Where are you from

Temperance, Michigan which is located in the southeast corner of Michigan (near Toledo, OH). Lake Erie is just down the road from me.

James Hillier?
The Isle of Mann is on my bucket list. I cannot wait to go there some day!
Go for it you wont regret it just make sure its when the TT (tourist trophy) or the manx grand prix is on as this is when the island realy comes alive, they are road races but in the 2 weeks they are run there is a lot of motocross and beach races on, if you ever get to do it get in touch with me first and i could get you a bike to use for the off road events if wanted to have a go.
James hillier is an up and coming road racer just search iom tt on youtube its amazing
p.s. dont bother looking at the crashes as the spectacle is the race not the other but some people like gore i suppose.

Yeh as a rider Ive never been able to watch the wrecks. Its like "check this out. It could be you cartwheeling into a brick wall at 100+ mph"
Id be happy enough to get over to Ireland for some TTs. Park in a farmers field and watch the ladds go by at triple digits in some beautiful Irish countryside. What could be better.

I'm from The San Fran Bay Area but have been in the South East corner of Arizona for about 23 years in Douglas. My fathers birth place. My Mom was born In bisbee. A large Manx population there that worked the huge Phelps Dodge open pit copper mine. My grandfather was from the Isle of Man. I still have family living there. Are you familiar with the "Corrin" last name there are a few left I'm sure. I would love to visit there myself someday to see the races. My older Brother has been while he was in the Navy. We both have a matching Manx tattoo's honoring our heritage. if you want to see true road racing its the only place to go. Nothing else compares or is like it left in the world.
he is strange but fast and good style.
you werent far of with Ireland but i live on a smaller island in between that and England :)

Hi Timmy good to hear about your heritage with the isle of man and the Corrin name is still very popular over here :) i think it still takes up most of the phone book, cant go far over here without bumping into a corrin lol, as for the racing you must try to get over one year as like you say nothing compares or comes close.

I like Guy martin also because he is a bit quirky and those Mutton Chops. What an innovative guy, with little resources. He has really come up over the years, hasn't he.

I just spoke to my Mom. She got a good laugh about how big the Corrin family is. She asked me to ask are you familier with the Clucas family name, Deidre Clucas is my Mothers First Cousin. Its a small world isn't it. My Grandfathers name was Arnold Corrin.
