• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Where Do You Live?

I live in Trussville, Alabama which is a suburb of Birmingham. I'm about 10 minutes away from Barbers Motorsports Track & Museum. It's a great place to live, raise kids & ride dirt bikes. 3.5 hours from the white sandy beaches or what we used to call the white sandy beaches....Damn you BP****************************************:banghead:

Plantersville Alabama, just north of Selma. Home of the Perry mountain 24 hour race. No pretty pictures, just pine trees and flat rocks.

What he didn't say is they've been racing motorcycles at Reynolds Pasture & Perry Mountain since 1938...My old man raced there in the late 50's through the early 70's. Lots of history there........

I recently moved from glangstons trunk to his glove box. I couldn't afford the rent any more for such a spacious place. :D

San Diego, Ca, or more specifically Coronado, Ca

That brings back memories, I used to live at 1414 Glorietta right across the street from the marina...30 years ago. Very cool place when I was a kid.

I live in Southeast Michigan (Temperance, MI). It's located just North of Toledo, OH. There are a bunch of trails in the northern part of Michigan. Unforunately, it is about a 3.5-4 hour ride to get there for me. The Michigan Cycle Conservation Club (CCC) does a great job keeping our 3000 miles of trails open. Are there other Michigan riders on CafeHusky?
