They don't pull any punches syaing what the Husky Moto 3 bike really is. http://www.visordown.com/interviews/danny-kent-seven-things-i-know/24042.html
The little trucks are fun to look at, cute and a step above using small MCs to move huge loads of various types in Asia etc. I like them!
i like that idea .. lets start a truck/how i haul my bike forum its something we all do or have and it pops up from time2time anyway
Back in 1987 I was stationed in Japan and they were everywhere then. Difference was some had 2t motors back then. Very small skinny roads too. Being 6'4" with a 38" inseam they won't be in my future unless I have 8" chopped off the legs. Are cushmans still around?
Beat me to it. Guess i should go update it with a shot of my 01 V6 GMC towing 12 ft trailer with 3 bikes. Works fine, but would work better with a V8 and get the same 20 mpg unloaded that my 5.4 Supercrew got..but I like it anyways.
Now that the thread´s been hijacked, you might as well just show pics of fat people and their trucks.
I was at the Motocross Races today...lots and lots of KTM's...there so called premium pricing does'nt seem to be holding them back...in terms of bike sales...people will buy husky if there is value...which will be created through marketing and racing...you'll see.
I think like has been said many times, Husky has been under priced when you average in the year end fire sales each year. There was never enough profit to sustain the brand, much less finance a serious racing program or buying off the mags with advertising to get complimentary/fair test ride reports.
apparently, ktm stop building supermoto bikes, the future supermoto bikes will be named "husqvarna". http://www.speedweek.com/supermoto/news/48700/Lukas-Hoellbacher-KTM-gibt-Supermoto-auf.html r
If SP really intends to "double Husqvarna motorcycle sales" I don't see how pricing it *above* KTM is going to help achieve that.
People say this all the time... but I think if we could all be honest those that bought Husky over KTM the past few years were largely swayed by price. Then because nobody wants to look cheap we take the marketing reasons provided by the manufacturer and claim that to be the excuse. This doesn't account for everyone... but in the west in the plated enduro market it is a big big factor. There is also the rebel crowd that bought Husky because it is not a KTM even when they dont think their Husky is the better bike. Some of those guys eventually up grading to Beta. Beta has the non KTM logo with better than Husky fit and finish. Funny how a KTM clone can be perceived as an anti KTM product.
I didn't buy a year end blowout. I paid near MSRP for my '11 TE310 not long after they were released. I bought it because I liked the bike. The price didn't really come into it. Sure, it was less than a KTM, but I couldn't care less about KTM. It was similarly priced to the rest of the dirt bike world instead of overpriced. I bought it because it fit me better than any other available model and I was fond of my '03 TE610e.
