ALL NEW AUSTRIAN HUSQVARNA DEALERS were sent Husqvarna diagnostic system with their dealer order in 2014.Husqvarna has now provided the adapter cord for all previous Husqvarnas 2008 and new with Mikuni and Kehin and Marrelli fuel injection. We are lucky we have Moss but not in service,I Beat, and HTS besides the new supplied rental Husqvarna diagnostics wich has most everything needed for serviceing everything including Terra and Strada,it does not as far as I know have new updated running programs yet but whats in it does work well as we had a bad running Strada with lights flashing and it cured all of it.However a slight bent rear disk was triggering ABS faults until we figured that out so the 'NEW GUYs" havent left us hanging at all and doing a great job supplying tech advice and support.KTM is not where its at today because they sit on their asses they get crap done. The tools are rented for a fee per month wich is a lot better than a dealer throwing away outdated tools every year or 2 and now we just exchange and or get updates for a fair monthly fee instead of dropping $2 to $5K on our parts bills every couple years. billf
I was getting my 2015 FE350S reflashed last week and I noticed that the red bikes are now listed where the dealer picks the model of bike that is being connected.
If I understood correctly from my dealer it are parameters that could be set in the MOSS-tool (and I assume in the new OSS-tool as well). There are supposedly 2 parameters: # km ridden since last reset. Default is 10000km # days since last reset. Default is 365d If either of those is reached the wrench symbol appears. A dealer could change those default settings in the tool.
They are where they are on this forum cause they don't communicate. Still haven't received anything from Husqvarna since the dealer I purchased the bike from lost their dealership. It's still under warranty.
I believe it is high time that motorcycle manufacturers are forced into delivering machines with a common fault code system and data port the same way auto makers are with OBD2 ports. End user options would be possible then for when these companies/importers disappear!
DAHLITZ in Canberra, speak to Greg, they have the equipment, for a small cost, to install latest firmware, resert spanners etc www.dahlitzmotorcycles.net.au Definately worth the ride down from Sydney The bike ran really well with the D-Boost on 12 Reset ecu with it on zero Will ride back to Sydney tomorrow - fingers-crossed that it will run perfectly Will let you know
An understatement. Looked into having the wheel bearings and spacers repaired under warranty but ended up in the too hard basket. Thanks for posting who has the gear. Hopefully someone in the Hunter/Newcastle/Central Coast regions will take the plunge.
Are they actually using the new OSS (required to instal firmware/maps , etc (if there were any)) ....or the old MOSS (no firmware instals, as the MOSS data server in Munich has been offline for months now). The old MOSS related software can still reset a few items, wipe the service-spanner, reset the ECU, wipe the "learning"-data...but that's it. The only access to updates, security coding of parts etc. is now via the KTM based OSS.... different software, different access-methods (to access the OSS system, that is), pay-as-you-use live online data access sessions etc.
Spot-on. A certain set of base-parameters can be set with either system and does NOT require online-sessions, at least not with the old MOSS! (could be different under OSS, no idea). I just bought a new tooth-brush, too...ANYTHING's better than nothing, right?
OSS charged every time they access Europe, the upgrade ran perfectly for the freezing cold Canberra-Sydney return trip - Time & money well spent
So...DAHLITZ in Canberra is actually OSS!!!-equipped AND up and running?? (they're the first in Oz then, hoorray). If so, I'll send a mate with a crooked Strada in Bairnsdale that way. Yes, OSS is charged everytime the bike is hooked up, but the actual online access-cost is fairly negligible.
Greg & Joel (Dahlitz) great service & enthusiastic - my bike ran beautifully afterwards, freezing cold over the Great Divide - so smooth at 4-4,500 rpm - ran clean up to rev limiter - no pinging under Roger's tests - 4th gear WOT from 2,000rpm Mark2 3D printed Unifilter, GPR single can exhaust, Brisk plugs, AIT sensor repositioned in RH wing (Safari tanks) Oil cooler, SS oil filter, Scottoiler, Shock Treatment suspension, plus a few other bits'n'pieces It's taken me 2 years to get this far (enjoyed every minute of the "journey") A few more rides to prove (to myself) the long-term results Planning Cameron Corner in near future

The old MOSS can still reset the ECU, reset spanners, wipe/ clear "learned" data and a few other things by just running off the dealer's computer !!! (or ANY comp via the appropriate cables, for that matter)...it CAN'T instal firmware as the online interface in Munich doesn't exist anymore. ONLY OSS can update firmware/ maps/ code keys and dashes etc. Pretty much sounds like Dahlitz only did a reset via the old MOSS software they've still got running on their gear. Good to hear it did the trick for you...but I'm rather after a proper OSS setup.
