I'd like to order one for my '11 TXC449 but I didn't see it listed on your web site. Let me know. Thanks!

So, with my TE630 and a full Leo Vince Ti exhaust system, and iBeat at my disposal (currently tuned to 106% on all 3 RPM settings), what would a JD Jetting tuner do for me?

Does this thing work like a PowerCommander, where I have to come up with a map to use?

Is there some PC interface cable, or is it all done right on the box?

My bike is running great as it is. I'm reluctant to spend more money and fix something that's not broken.

    Then leave it alone.

The JD 6X allows you to tune...

low - like a pilot jet
    mid - like the needle
    high - like the main
transition from low to mid so you can change where the hit is
accelerator pump - based on how fast you twist the throttle not what position
    idel

This is all right on the bike and can be adjusted at stop lights or while riding. Stupid simple to use and everyone comments on the huge gains in power and ridability. Simple install. No diagnostics like the iBeat. having owned both the iBeat and JD 6x i would take the 6x every time. you can literally jet your bike while riding it. Works fantastic. My bike gained 11 hp and 4000 RPM up top and way more throttle response. I know, sounds to good to be true. Bike went from a kitten to a fire breather.

I mounted mine to the bars to play with then reattach it on the back side of the number plate when done.

This thing interfaces directly at the injector. Take this with a grain of salt since I'm not the one who developed the device (but I have worked in electronics most of my career)... The device is placed between the ECU injector pulse output and the injector. My guess is that it intercepts the output signal from the ECU, and modifies that signal to make the injector add more fuel than the computer is calling for (proportionately, based on your settings).

I can't say enough good about this toy. It really is the shiz for a ridiculously low price. Everyone needs one of these, even if they think their bike is great out of the box. I never imagined there was this much more power hidden in my motor... not to mention the "nerd factor" of being able to tinker with your bike's power on the fly! :notworthy:

funny thing is I dragged my feet setting things up with JD because I thought my 511 ran near perfect, I did it more for my customers / new product but in the end realized tons more power and better running while the bike ran much cooler was the result. Great product.

I would be interested in hearing from those who have installed and used this device as to how their fuel mileage has been affected.

    Thanks!

    Dave

P.S. I"m still LOVIN' my TE449. Will have 1,000 miles on it after this weekend's excursions.

yes blue is stock red is JD. As you can see the stock the bike got so lean it would not rev out.

Wow that Dyno data is pretty surprising. I wouldn't have guessed the 511 was so low stock. I wonder what the 449 would look like?

I don't think those numbers really represent the total power. Not sure if corrected and he said he had issues with my worn out trials tire on the back. It does fully reflect the differences in power between stock with power up and JD as they were done in that same session.

I rode a TE449 and my TE511 back to back and the 449 had slightly less roll on and bottom, other than that they were very similar. It's only 30cc difference.

I was going to buy the ibeat 2.1 and tune the bike that way. Does this do the same as beat as far as tuning the efi goes?

I think I just got off the phone with you. the iBeat has diagnostic features the JD 6X does not. The JD tuners is much more comprehensive and works far better adding much more performance and EFI tuning than the iBeat can. So, if you just need your EFI to work right and add a ton of power the JD is by far the way to go IMHO.
