wow and scary ... Sounds more like a vendetta than normal law enforcing... These people have at least bad-will at their core about motorcycles... This deep hate gives them power, so their behavior will probably continue till they are conquered or prevail on their conquest... -- Lots of angles to look at this issue ...And for the riders, the angle is the angle with the end-result being the only thing that matters actually. So what is the end result? Not sure but it will take another ~decade or so before all this gets knuckled down around your bikes throat enough to cripple it ... It's not gonna stop and I'll stay here and watch and listen to it from the sidelines ...
Tinken, I did some thinking about this and though it is a BIG HUGH negative for those others in this accord, it MIGHT work out as a positive for Californians. Collectively, those countries represent a large market, and it might force manufactures to bring more models into compliance (rather than dropping models) and that would result in more models being available to the California buyer. Just trying to look on the bright side. (getting more difficult every day)
Found this on the web .. California is the only state that is permitted to have such a regulatory agency, since it is the only state that had one before the passage of the federal Clean Air Act. Other states are permitted to follow CARB standards, or use the federal ones, but not set their own. Sort of sounds like CA is privileged ...
You have no idea, California is a very liberal, wealthy and powerful agricultural state which provides most of the food stables for the rest of the country.
The real criminal element here is that CARB is somehow allowed to completely bypass the legislative process. Both CARB &AQMD are supposed to be enforcing laws passed by Sacramento law makers or only ”suggesting” future legislation. Somehow along the way our super liberal ” representatives” and I use that term loosely btw, just gave them the power to do whatever they want. This should be against the law, but when it comes to the liberal agenda, laws and the constitution aren't worth the paper they are printed on.
Because we do. Abbott Vascular just closed its doors in Temecula, CA. Cost of doing business I guess. I heard they were leaving the country and taking all of those jobs with.
Not the south ... And ya gotta love the 1st world, right? The older and wiser(?) I get, the more it reeks to me personally ... That is me and me only ...
Tragic indeed! Well, I guess we'll be putting Chinese made parts into our bodies as well as our bikes. We all know how well that works out! At least you still have the school district and the Indian casino providing high skilled, well paying jobs <sarcasm>.
Hey at least we have a growing industry with our Native American Casinos! Since it's their land, they would never export their own jobs.
Past transgressions aside (I'm part Cherokee btw) they are driving Benz n Beemers and doing better than their ancestors. I think its a good thing that they all totally deserve.
Sorry, didn't mean to offend. Just saying that the level of technical knowledge to work at Abbot Medical versus a casino is much higher. And, for me at least, a highly technical job is more rewarding than one that is not. Not to mention they tend to pay more.
