    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

That answered/confirmed a lot of my questions.
Yes, i removed the black rubber from top of battery, seat does fit a bit better now. And yeah, i see how it all marries up to the battery etc, tried it with the side covers off, could see everything nicely.

My horn is also tucked in behind the head light, i found the "standard OEM" horn in a box, so he had fitted another horn for behind the headlight (considering my bike has after market radiator guards, possibly why).
It is just flopping around loose, so i might see if i can fix that.

I haven't ridden it in the yet, but took it for a quick ride up the road after i bought it, it read 131k's on the digital speedo tapped out in 6th, so i guess it has standard gearing fitted.

I'm getting there now, just needs a few bolts replaced, a couple of EZ-LOK's.... New grips, Oil Change and a quick connection to iBeat.

Whatever happened to "kick em and ride em" :)
 
Horn, mount to bark buster at top, use a strip of ally.
Re wiring. Just tidy as best you can, I've always fond huskys a bit more messy than japs and ktm.
Re battery, if it's a drama, go for an SSB or earthX, never seen earthX here but you cns get SSB from me or from hollyhock batteries.
Ask for Daniel there (not me, just another dirtbikers business who sells them) .
Re dash, they're crap, I went through a couple and as soon as you wash the bike, they go tits up. :D
Replace with vapor or something else(anything is better than OEM unit.
