  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Yes, I have three. When he would get a scratch or a slight ding, he would put a new pipe on.

Btw ignore the factory connection stickers and the rocket exhaust sticker (at one point I was going to use those companies, not anymore).

How did you end up with them?

After the divorce, Husqvarna in Corona and Zip-Ty in Oak Hills are rumored to have continued a torrid affair. Both parties meeting halfway at Glen Helen...lots of bumpy dirty stuff going on I hear but the pictures have been destroyed to protect your innocent eyes.

Thats the way I heard it, but I havent lived in the neighborhood for 20 years so I may have some details wrong ;)

Alrighty, got the new exhaust on, courtesy of ZipTy racing and help from Mr.Tinken. I've gotta say, this thing sounds mean! It sounds like a national lites class bike. If you've ever heard a well tuned proffesionaly built lites class bike at the nationals you know what im talking about, they sound so crisp. I am shocked at the difference in throttle response. Can't wait to ride with it.

Btw, my total bill so far for these mods (and the next two coming mods all ready added in) is below. The part and than it's cost is beside it. This way anyone else wanting to know the total cost (as in part plus the shipping and tax) of a part now knows it. I did some research to find the lowest prices I could. The new bars aren't on yet, neither are the grips. They are coming. Remember my goal is to simply stay with in $1,900 because that's how much I saved from buying a 2013 310.

7602 racing radiator guards 108
TW Design Works skid plate 112
FMF exhaust 448
JD Tuner 211
graphics 165
Renthal Fat Bars 68
ODI V2 Lock on Grips 25
Total $1,137

Ooo and that total doesn't account for the $250 starter motor I had to put into it...still pissed off about that :censored:

O btw Tinken, I thought it was pretty neat that Ty engraved his name into the exhaust.
FMF made that exhaust for us to our specifications, that is not an "over the counter" system anyone can buy. However you can still purchase quiet inserts and spark arrestors for it.

I'm aware but I could tell somebody hand engraved the name, it wasn't a machine. So I'm assuming it was him.

Hey Connor, bike looks great. I just put my ZTR supplied FMF exhaust on last nite(thanks Tinken) & I have to agree 125%, the sound is amazing. It makes you want to stand there just blipping the throttle.:D The Harley guy across the street even came over to see what was making the noise. So what exhaust guard do ya have there? I'm gonna need one. Time to get that thing dirty....
