When i head on a dude and destroyed my super fancy high dollar and very good working twin chamber 50mm zokes on my 165 I replaced them with TE250 open chamber 48mm zokes that worked almost as good as my 2K forks.
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
It would be interesting to see what R&D KTM/WP actually do with he 4CS forks.
I rode a 15 te300 on the weekend and it had the same problems my 14 had.
It also amazes me how many different versions of these forks there are yet how different they are. I can now understand how some guys like these forks stock, rode with a guy on the weekend who loved his forks. I later found out he was running his clickers 28 out!!! - yeah buddy I bet they feel just great....
They made a kit like ours.It would be interesting to see what R&D KTM/WP actually do with he 4CS forks.
So, what does that kit cost?I just picked up my suspension from MX-Tech. They installed what they call their 4CS Asymmetrical system. High, mid and low speed compression adjustments and rebound. Looks like I have some reading to do. I will post up some updates and pictures when I have some time this weekend. Jeremy says they have sold over 1000 of these kits to various tuners and it has been one of their most successful products. I even got some pretty stickers to go with it![]()
Ouch, sorry. Does the same thing the 4CS bottoming cone does, it's just physically bigger.
Close to a million dollars recirculated because of the "4CS Asymmetrical system"...if the 1000 kit threshold is there. Thinking shipping, fluids, reworking, markups to tuners... Heck yeah, and that is just MX Tech derived mods...KTM has single handedly built a huge suspension tuning market, first with the PDS and now this. They should just copy KYB components and be done with it.
