As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
I think the "transition period" with BMW is until the end of May. Maybe there is a gag order on talking about the future until KTM 100% officially takes over?
When there is void of real information, made up stuff will have to do.
The "gag order" obviously does not apply to this thread.![]()
North Korean HusKvarna production to commence by fiscal year 2014 @ sept october time frame........When there is void of real information, made up stuff will have to do.
If the made-up stuff is repeated enough times on the internet, it becomes the real information. When there is void of real information, made up stuff will have to do.
Fred said Husky NA Corona could be done as early as tomorrow and would transition to KTM USA then....I think the "transition period" with BMW is until the end of May. Maybe there is a gag order on talking about the future until KTM 100% officially takes over?
So I take it that Fred still has a job there?Fred said Husky NA Corona could be done as early as tomorrow and would transition to KTM USA then....
Fred still has his job, until the transition to the new KTM USA run Husky. He has not been offered a position in the "New" Husky USA.... Fred is going to help his dealers sell Huskys and race Huskys until he's told to stop.So I take it that Fred still has a job there?

I think that rumour has been squashed. I have talked to a few guys who work for HNA and they sure dont know anything about the Corona offices closing?
Husky Reps were told at the meeting in March, at KTM USA Headquarters in Murrieta... That Husky NA was done in 60 days, with a possible 30 day extension. It was not made clear if this was calendar or business days... It's about 60 days out this week.I think that rumour has been squashed.
