• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Actual news on the KTM purchase of Husqvarna

After reading that article I'm starting to get excited again. When they started selling MY14 WR's that were the same as last years (and the year before, the year before that, the year before.......) model I was kind of bummed. I have to admit, I went to the orange dealer to have a look. Now it sound like we are getting something new! KTM based or not, this is a good start and hopefully they'll be priced like Husqvarnas, not KTM's. Not sure about the US, but this is the price difference in Australia -

People want the bikes heavily involved in racing, it sucks but the prices almost have to go up. White sounds boring but I'm sure we will see graphics from every company now lol

I can live with the white if........ I can get my blue rims , Husky ergos, and Husky handling :D. A couple of guys on here have had white Huskys with blue grafix and they look sweet.

I was almost there.

I think white/blue graphics?

Honda has red

Ktm has orange

Yamaha has blue

Kawasaki has green

Suzuki has yellow

So really, what is left? White so you not mistaken as a Honda, etc......

It could be different shades, TM looks nothing like Yamaha. The color thing is more of a joke to me but I hope it will stand out from the crowd. KTM are the masters of advertising so I'm sure it will be eye catching. Anodized wheels would be cool though :)

My '93 WXC350... Simple, understated and very classy.

Norm, I'm calling dibs on your bike should you ever decide to part ways for some reason. Until 1993 the only beautiful things I obsessed over were girls. Then husky introduced their model lineup for that year and I was in love all over again.

You're first on the list! I don't ride it enough, but it always makes me smile.

I have a cherry 92 WXc350 with only 500 miles with plate, thats a great bike it starts first kick even after sitting for 6 months. We had 91 before that that was a great bike, very fast in their day.

So after reading about 60 of 90 pages... we still can't find a single spy photo of the future... but it looks like Husky dealer system will sell off last of Husky product as anniversary bikes... and sell some new models that are rebadged Bergs... and Berg dealers will sell off the rest of the Bergs... all in 2014. Then we will see the first Berg inspired Husqvarnas for 2015... with full attention to the Husky direction and branding for 2016.

I buy slightly used typically at 2 years so my first new to me Husky purchase will be 2018. At least I'll have one before I am 60 !

White can go wrong though.....

I had a 1991 KTM300EXC....... it evolved quickly into a WHT/RED/BLK bike, I peeled all mint graphics off and a GUTS black/Gray with red seat was added. It was a solid bike that never faltered and to me looked a heck of alot better in wht/blk/red combo. My gear style at that time on the other hand........was hideous!! Hey that looks like Chilly's 300.

Since CA Green Sticker Program is over in 2016 also maybe Pierre will buy CA and solve all our problems too... will just have to change our state flag from this:

..If that is what the new flag of Cali would be..plus the fact he (pierre)would run it,then for the sake of all Californians, get the hell out and I hope the entire state that is lying on a major fault line breaks loose and floats away from the rest of the U.S.
