Hi everyone,
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Yep it's as scientific as the double talk we have received from SP and the new owners. We heard from SP that the new Husky was going after the jap bikes on all levels. Then we now hear they are the new premium brand of KTM. So not a big WAG to say yes they (new Husky) will cost more and the current KTM will be more in line with the Jap bikes. Who knows but we will find out in a few months when the actual prices will be released.

I agree, the x lights are an awesome bike, my 2012 TC 250 is just so good, they are the best handling bikes I've ever ridden, they are so good they give you the confidence to go faster and ride harder, that they make you into a better rider.I had the pleasure of riding all the flavors of the last of the breed X-lights this weekend and am going to really miss that design. The TXC310 is an amazing bike with an awesome motor. the x-lights handle like nothing else (amazing) and the TXC310 rips. Super fun light feeling bikes. The new motor with newly designed head and different EFI is amazing and pulls from down low to a ripping top end. So linear and smooth. Love it.
I'm so disappointed that development of these bikes is stopping, with a few more years of refinement and improvements, I think they could have been one of the best bikes ever made, that's why I will be keeping my TC 250 and early in the new year I will be buying a 110th anniversary TXC 310 R and if I can swing it I will be snapping up a new 449 before they are gone forever.

In the US "Premium" Husaberg TE-FE 250cc 4T and 2T models are $50-150 more than the closest KTM models. I'd expect Husky pricing to be similar.

Best bike value on the market is the TXC 310 and the TC 449
I would have to agree with you, for me the value isn't there with the new and improved priced bikes.
Husqvarna motorcycles Facebook posted a teaser picture of a prototype Husky. It will be released at EICMA? I think that was the name of the event anyway
I'm guessing it will not be anything earth shaking but hope i am wrong. I would love to see them move in a unique direction but cant see them ever being much different than their KTM counterpart. Maybe a EFI 2 stroke or something.
