• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Baja husky ride!

I don't seem to be having any trouble opening the link but if others are I'll try posting it a different way. Don't worry you're not missing anything yet.

I had an awesome time! This type of riding can be very unforgiving, but well worth it when you hit the good stuff. I'm not used hitting 80 mph on ANY trail. The best part of the trip was meeting all the great people in the Husky community. I will be posting pics and a ride report when I get home.

Way cool time.

You're not home yet? What are you and Greg doing, a slow dance? Just got home myself and I am to dam tired to lift my camera to the USB. I'll get some things posted ASAIC. It was a very fun time for sure. Got some good shots and met some great people. Love to all my Husky brothers and the two sisters. Wow can them girls ride.:thumbsup::D

Wished I would have seen the 310 Submarine.

:cry:whaaa! I missed a really good ride! Well, maybe with any luck I will join the crew on the next Epic Baja Expidition.;)

Jim (1/2 ASS) ( story later) and I just pulled into shop , rained most of the way back so bikes are kinda clean. Think all made it out of Baja ok. Both bike and body injury list is small . Later George

Yeah Jaime kicks my ass on a regular basis. Someday I may pass her on the trail...of course she will be stopped waiting for me to catch up, but I will blow past her :ride:

Got home midnight last night, AWESOME time..... sorry I jinxed you and your bike so bad with the feather duster and handle bar streamers, I didn't mean for all of that to happen......

Just finished unpacking and cleaning. DAM my truck is filthy:eek:. Hopefully some of that rain will help the outside, but from past experience, the inside will always have a bit of Baja Dust in it. I'm glad that truck has been devirginized in Baja.

I will post up a writeup later this week. Last night I got all the SD cards from almost everyone's cameras. Just over 4GB raw data. I was thinking about sending a CD to all the ppl that went on the ride, but I am just going to zip it up and Brett (lairpost) has offered to host it, so if you went on the trip and would like to download everyone's pictures of the trip, send me a PM and I will send you the link.

Great trip. Couldn't have asked for a better group of people. Everyone had fun and got to experience Baja before it all becomes pavement:thumbsdown: which would open up some of the remote areas we rode in.

I was in San Filipe this last weekend on a club ride with my trusty 08 TE 510, saw two truckloads of Huskys go by while I was getting gas at PEEMIX, thought to myself "what are the odds of seeing that many Huskys in San Felipe", this explains a lot! Wish I had run into you guys earlier and went out for a ride!:cheers:or a beer!

If one of the trucks you saw was a huge black F350 with a black shell, that was us:)

I saw a Suzuki with CycleWest stickers on the front fender and wondered if the gang at the Pemex was from the Bay Area...

Coffee, f2g and I in Banning off of I-10, weather is interesting.... Ion, out.

Banning California! Interesting town!

Now I know all about banning!

For those who may not know the weather in California was not the best for the ride back and some of the roads were closed. Ioneater & fitness2go & I made it to my house about 3am today.

There is a good chance they are getting close to their homes about now.
