• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Best Spark Plug 4 Terra: Show me your PLUGS

Just switched from Brisks to Pulstars. When switching from stock to Brisk I really didn't notice much of a difference. After 5,000 km on the Brisks look at the white chalky-ness buildup: https://imgur.com/F3H1CYU,QbxiTR1,RMb0PuW
Left plug is inside, right plug is outside.

A few hundred kms on the Pulstars and there IS a noticeable difference. Definitely improved low end, and they cost me less than the Brisks so that's good too.

I did stock plugs, Iridium (Denso), Brisk, now Pulstars each change was an improvement

Is there a need to have ECU reset or anything when changing to Pulstar plugs ? Disconnect battery ?

Or just change them and ride away.

Based on this thread I tried a Pulstar plug in my 94 Husaberg 501. IT has high compression and a wild cam profile so it idles a little rough. This plug really smoothed that out, better starting and better smoother pull off the bottom. I had my doubts but it works.

See post 29 and 30 here for more info on my install and results...

I just installed the Pulstar plugs in my Terra and I can tell the engine runs smoother and has a littler better throttle response down low. Now I have no problem lifting the front wheel, before I had to word hard to get it off the ground. (Not that i'm doing wheelies all day.) :p

Just peeked into this thread to find out what replacement spark plugs to use.
I think I'm going back with the stockers, I've got 10,000 miles on the originals.
The bike still runs like it always has. A bit of that lean stumble right off idle sometimes
but I've learned to just deal with it.

Pulstars get a huge thumbs up from all who use them, me included

I ended getting the Brisks, and yet to install them. Would it be worth it to just go with the Pulstar's??

I'm pretty happy with the Brisk plugs. There is a noticeable sound/vibe difference at cold idle--little/no more chugging.

I was also impressed with the Brisk plugs, a noticeable improvement over the Iridium which replaced the OEMs

The Pulstars are even better still

PulStar je2rt8, two of them needed :) the (H2RT8 works for Honda XR-200) and they are 16 mm so same tool needed as for the Brisk.

If you live in Europe or visiting Europe I ordered mine from http://pulstar.es/ got delivered promptly and much cheaper than transport from USA options.
