• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Best Spark Plug 4 Terra: Show me your PLUGS

I understand your plug statement and normally in something with less compression a plug does not change much if any thing. The higher the compression the more spark plugs make a difference. We are running high compression in the singles to get the power they get.

You might be right and the o2 sensor could be going out as well. This is my next venture if the dealership can not figure it out. I received a call Saturday from there technician that specializes in tuning and dyno's their bikes. He advised if the plugs do not make a difference might have to buy a power commander with timing adjust and I had to explain we do not have that for our TR650. The KTM dealerships are not yet up to speed on older Husqvarna's especially the one year made tr650. Just want to get the vibes out in the highway miles as I do 60 a day. Most likely in Feb. trading for a bigger bike anyways.

I don't know if this is possible, but can you swap your coil wires?

I have the gray boot coil on the outboard plug. I did not try swapping coil position either.

The connector to the coil may be able to be interchanged. Being a trigger and feed wire, I doubt you could do harm swapping them if they connect. Use a tiny screwdriver or pic to lift the tab that keeps the plug from coming out, and just swap em. If that doesn't work, swap the coils. You could have 3 separate configurations one of which may help. Actually there could be alot more if you go to a one coil/spark plug operation. Just unplug one at a time and try it.

Maybe even do some test firing of the coils with plugs in them.

I just can't see your ecu being bad, because changing the externals has helped in the past. A combination of just out of tolerance other parts might be doing it.

Well, I got my AR10ZS plugs. Unfortunately the sudden onset of winter has all but extinguished any desire to work in the garage. It may be a bit before I test these out.

Ok so the Brisk AR10zs did not work for me. Actually made vibration and spark knock a lot more noticeable. I ordered a pair of Mar10A-J which is a little colder then the factory originals and these seemed to have gone in the right direction for me. This is just my story as I have been battling with higher vibrations then most talk about. Seems the colder plugs helped.

Had a chance to put in the AR10ZS plugs. Me likey!

I only took it around the block, so I don't have much time. But, I don't hear any decel popping, and I didn't feel any stumbling from take offs. Both occurred previously.

Of note, I have a completely stock bike as far as air and fueling go.

Here's my original plugs. 5225 miles. Inside plug pictured first. Note that the lighting makes the inside plug look whiter. They actually look pretty close to identical in person.

Well, I'm almost there with the Brisks...

How did you tighten the inside plug? The stock plug tool doesn't fit the Brisks as they have 5/8" nuts on them. I'm able to get a long socket in to tighten down the outside plug but the socket is too wide in diameter to get down the hole to the inside plug.

I just used a 5/8 spark plug socket. I checked both of mine and they both work. Craftsman and Husky. The OD of the socket looks like just under 7/8". (.853)

Thanks for checking that. Mine are .866" so I guess I'm bringing my calipers socket shopping.

Yes you can switch the coil plugs and it makes no difference. They evidently fire at the same time unlike some other dual spark plugs I have come across that fire in sequence. I had the grey boot cover coil on the outside and now on the inside no changes or codes thrown. I am still dealing with the heavy vibrations through the handle bars. Engine runs good but just can not seem to kill the vibes. Crazy.

Hello everybody.
I have a brant new stock bike..only 800 klms!
I already order the spoofer from Belgium ( i did not Receive it yet) and i think that maybe the Brisks plugs maybe helps the staling problemes.
One stupid question..
Do i need one or two Brisks plugs?
I noticed that some of you put just one.
Sorry for the question?
Thanks everybody.

Congrats on your new bike! You would need two plugs.
Thank you for the wishes!:)
I install the Solid Solution module and one 15 front sprocket and the bike becomes almost fine.
The plugs is my next target.
I do not Know if they are really necessary yet, i will see

Thanks for the infos!
