• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Pics of your 610!

Sweet ! 70 HP? Wow !! So, does the big bore kit make it an actual 610 ? I see you've got the LV as well. Very very nice. Post a vid if you've got any.
No, it`s the same as the new TE/SM630 = 600cc. What is LV if I can ask a stupid question... ?//TT Sweden

ele984, do you think there'd be a way to get that kit in the U.S.? Like, it isn't some one off thing that you bought or had custom made by a machine shop, but it's actually from an aftermarket manufacturer? And it was dynode at 70 hp? My bike is probably on the high side of 50, and I've got all the aftermarket upgrades done available here.

And here's my 09 SM(sorry for the cellphone pictures):

Hello! Mybike has a bigborekit from Italy www.htmracing.it
From the beginning I installed a highcomp.piston, ported the cyl.head and a cam for racepurpose. The bike was run in a dyno-bench and had 65 hp. After a little mishap the pistonring disintegrated a ruined the piston/cylinder. Instead of buying a new piston and re-Nikasil the cylinder, I found out it was cheaper to buy the kit. I`d say the bike has about 5hp more and a whole lot more torque. //Torbjörn, Sweden (ele984)

I figured it was time to post a pic of the Husky. I have been trying to get this new to me bike dialed in. I am grateful for all the information here. The weather in the PNW seems to call for rain this year despite everywhere else. We got some sun today. Bike was working good!DSCF0105.jpg

Just got an amazing deal on an '07 610 from a friend. Been waiting for it to come back from the mechanic forever, but finally got it and was able to put the first 40 miles on it over the weekend. Couldn't be more thrilled!

can you tell me where you got that pipe guard? i hated that stock lump of aluminium so i removed it and tried pipe wrap but i only got 3-4 rides out of it before it frayed through.

i have also been looking at the zeta pipe guards. anyone fitted one?
