• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Pics of your 610!

Yeah I was one of the first to use and popularise the Nautilus on a 1150GS some many years back (they now have the compact model) - and documented it on ADVRider. See they are quite popular now. Really the best loud horn out there - and also had a woman drop her cellphone almost out the window ... :D Think she thought there was an 18 wheeler ontop of her.

I am sure the warranty parts will sort out the electrical problem - cannot imagine your mods would do that?

See, I was thinking it's using more fuel than it would normally in it's stock form and so this may have resulted in the bike thinking it has a problem with the fuel injection? I've no idea really and thought this could be a possible explanation.

I added a KTM windsdscreen as well as a couple of generic driving lights on custom fender brackets. They work really well and are out of harms way.

Also just installed a super loud horn where the smog canister used to be.

Where is the smog canister placed? Our bikes do not have it. Also looking to fit a Stebel to this bike. I have also seperated the compressor and horn before and located them apart with a lengthened pipe = can also help in tight fitting situations.

Anyone can help? Want to fit one of these now to my Husky and looking where to fit...may need to seperate the parts.

See, I've had the opposite result, when I've used my loud horn when a cager doesn't see me, they STILL don't see me cos they're looking for the something big that honked, not a bike...

Dark N'red looks kinda interesting
...and how old is that green chair??? :D
That chair has been around a while haha.

Here's a better look at the dark n' red. I like it but it was time for a change, I went back to the white (original) main plastics and put dark shrouds on.

Over last winter I was running Shinko 244's, but the above pictured knobbies are a D606 rear and the front is an IRC VE33 (rear). Two of us ran that combo on our SM's for the OBDR this spring on Bryon and Adam's suggestion, I wanted the most open front knobby pattern we could find for the gravel superhighways we figured we'd be on out east. They worked great and lasted as long as they needed to, we had ZERO tire problems between the three of us (two of us on SM's and one of us bought Xcuvator's '08 TE). We wanted to run the TKC80's but Conti didn't release the 120/70-17 front until a week after we got back.

Left to right, my SM, Ridealot's TE, the other Jon's SM
