• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Pics of your 610!

The more I ride it, the more I like it.

Thanks Kelly for the X2!! It is leaps and bounds better than the stocker.

Welcome!

I fixed the pic for you, you put up an url of your myspace page. Right clicking on that pic, choosing 'view image' and just the pic shows up - and that is the link to use when embedding a pic with img tags.

Or feel free just to post up a link to your myspace page and people can click on it to go there.

Welcome to the 610 club, wesle616

You may as well put "for sale" signs on any other streetbikes you might currently have in your garage since they will probably be collecting dust in the future :D

Yup! I bought an SV650 a few years ago (to replace my FZR400/600) specifically for commuting...you know, a workhorse sort of thing...and it's perfect for the job. I always enjoyed riding it...until I got the 610. Now I ride the Husky to work on Fridays as an end-of-the-week treat. Makes me feel like the weekend starts Friday morning instead of Friday afternoon:D

I've needed a new front tire on the SV for awhile now but I've been putting it off. It's been giving me a great excuse to ride the Husky instead:busted: "But Eric, I lost the front end on the offramp the other day, I need to ride the Husky instead...it's a safety issue...really!"

I got a new tire today, though, so the party's over...

WOW, The SM is just so sweet. I can't wait to see what the power up does to it. Gonna be fun. I hope it warms up in the morning so I can start running it to my other job 4 days a week. 45 deg at 5:30 is just to cold until I get some warm riding gear. Oops, did I just find and excuse to help the economy and by some new riding gear? He, He!

Dude, like I said before, it's a safety issue!

You can't afford not to have the proper gear

45 is chilly but if I had a sweet new ride like you'res I think I would brave the cold. BTW heated handgrips do wonders for making the morning ride more comfortable.

Hand guards with plastic deflectors work also for cutting the cold wind ( big difference )

Rode mine one night starting at dusk in March. Not bad 50's with the sun out! Yea right!
Came home at 11:00 that night to teen temps. Could not wait until a stoplight or stop sign so I could warm my hands by the engine!!
