• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Pics Of Your 630!

I take it that this is a coating and not some kind of dye? Does it crack or peel off?
I like the result!

It's a rubber coating. If you put on 4 to 5 layer it doesn't crack or peef off. It's really strong on the plastics.

You can get it in Germany at "Conrad Electronics"

Plasti Dip is a multi-purpose air dry, specialty rubber coating that can be easily applied by spraying, brushing or dipping. Plasti Dip protective coating products resist moisture, acids, abrasion, corrosion, skidding/slipping, and provides a comfortable, controlled grip. It remains flexible, stretchy and will not become brittle or crack in extreme weather conditions;

Nice bike.

Nice "boat". What ship is that behind your bike??

I'll help answer. I was on the boat in October, for a LAN party . It is the USS Hornet.

Didn't have the money to do any mods on it till now, but some painting seems like a good place to start!

Thanks, very nice pics.

I note you have the rotopax on the Husky rack. I've just bought the rotopax and also have the Husky rack and it looks as though I need to drill holes in the rack to fit the mounting bracket? Is this what you did?

Would it be possible to post a photo of the mount on the rack, ie without the tank?
Thanks,
Russ

Thanks Sethro, appreciate you taking the time to post the pic. Your setup looks very neat & simple.

The reason I was asking is that the mounting system supplied came with a separate base plate to the handle shown in your pic, which looked as though it needed to be screwed into the rack in each of the base plate's four corners. It was looking difficult to line this up on the correct area of the rack given grooves in the rack. I'll just copy your setup, so thanks again.

Russ
