As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Nice photo John. How was the ride?
Which heated kit do you have, Moose?Just over 900 miles. The little Husky purred like a kitten.
The heated grips rocked. What a great bike.

Looks pretty mean, RDTCU!
Not as mean as the dog, though...
What's with the in-line four?
...After Plasti-dip on the white plastic...

Looks bitchin' man...
I've got a all-black Versys, love it.
BTW, invest in a bottle of 303 if you don't have some already. You'll need it with all that matt-black.
Not true of the spray. If you use the dip on things like straight plier handles, it can slip off too easily without the primer. For the spray, the primer would make it stick better, but if you spray the whole panel, it's like a wrap and only peels off if you get under an edge or cut it.Home Depot's site says you have to use primer before spraying this stuff on anything. I take it that's not true. Can you advise?
Gixxer 600 motor for an old FSAE car, I got Clemson's 2006 rolling chassis when they needed space. I did weld/build most of it after all...
500lb, ~130hp with an unrestricted GSX-R... Fun times...
Wow! That looks way more fun than a GSXR 600! Nice looking little rig
I've got a GSXR 750 I've owned since 1992 and I don't ride it anymore...maybe you should build one of these for me
Are you in the team photo?
