As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Painted my exhaust shields, looks a bit less obnoxious now.
Now I'm more interested in the build project in the background !

Oh I know, I'll probably nick them up a bit, but it's easy to touch up matte black...Looks nice.
Would be scratched to rat-shit on a TE.![]()
He's a mess, that's for sure. You can have staring contests with him.Cute dog, BTW. Boxers make great companions don't they?
Had a friend with a mated pair and they just loved cigar smoke and ashes. If you didn't pay attention they'd come along and grab the end off your cigar. The more expensive the cigar the better they like 'em.![]()
It's a TE. 50-state legal. Get plates, take off lights. Probably not legal, but certainly not impossible to do.Ok -- I give up. How do you have a plated bike with no lights or signals?

Hey guys, I live in the uk and this isnt a TE its an sm model, over here its fully road legal but it is pushing the limits of 'legal' haha. Without lights you can get a daytime only pass, and 'dirt bikes' dont need indicators over here
There's no front sprocket cover on mine. It gets too clogged up when the going gets muddy. I wear MX boots, or I put a velcro strap around my pant leg to keep it out of the chain.Any particular reason you removed the countershaft sprocket cover?
Seems like a not-so-good idea to me, unless you wear SM boots 100% of the time...

There's no reason to remove it, except for cosmetics. I'm just saying that there's nothing dangerous about it, if you keep loose clothing out of there. But why on an SM?
