• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Just out for a morning ride

Wow, what a blessing to have quick access to such beautiful terrain! I bet your stress level is way low...I know mine would be if I could just wake up and get a nice ride in!

I got the last one there. ;)
Dunno if they're going to get any more or not. Malcolm told me they bought all they could get their hands on.
3-Bros Racing in Costa Mesa has at least one on their floor. Well, one on their floor, not sure about in the crate or at their Temecula store. Would have to call them. Anyway, there's at least one more around here. Tri-County probably has one left as well.

A friend of mine went in to look at one and bought a TE310. He wanted a dirtbike with a plate.

BTW, how do you like the Wolfman bag?
I've been debating between Giant Loop Fandango and Wolfman Enduro. About 30% difference in cost. IIRC the wolf is like 6 liters and the GL is 10, no? Jtemple has the white GL fandango, says it works good. Still have to pull the front off to refuel.

it is very nicely made of course but is a touch on the small side, wish it was a tad bigger

Finally took some time off road, although now I really need to get the power up stuff done. Overall, the TE630 exceeded my expectations off road.

May 2011-56 miles into the White Rim Trail at Hog Back (Moab). TE was 2 weeks old then. Duals are long gone now, replaced by a FMF Q4 single.

Please tell us about that center stand and the exhaust you have on your new bike!!

Looks like the actual Husky center stand. You can order them by part number (from special parts catalog or shop manual), the 630's come with mounts for it.

Sure enough, it's in there...

There are two part numbers:
8A00 A8007 designation 'TR'
8000 A8007 designation 'MR'

I imagine one is shorter than the other, not sure which is which. Below are the notes which would lead me to believe M is for the SMS and T for the TE, R for 'upon request' as in an option.

You need the spring and pivot bolts too - let me know if anyone needs part numbers.

Shall we have Motoxotica price them for us?

the part #s 8A00A8007 and 8000A8007 do not come up as valid part numbers in the Husqvarna dealer network.i cant give you any info about them.perhaps Bill can or is it a cigar mikes stand?dan

That's right out of the parts book. They probably didn't bring them over to the DC.
Cigar-Mike thought they were the same size as the 610, he was going to try one on another bike and let us know. Have not priced them from him yet. Seems to me they were a couple hundred for his others.

Would be a nice accessory for an adventure rider.

Just FYI, last time I've checked this year he was selling the 610 ones for less then a hundred...

A center stand will take up the mount for where the Up-Tite skid pan goes, correct? I had entertained the center stand idea but I prefer my quality Up-Tite bash plate much better.
