• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Pics Of Your 630!

Finally picked up a TE 630. With Malcolm Smith the day I picked it up. Does anyone have any experience with Uptite Husky custom exhaust?

Bump for this question way back in the thread. Anybody with this pipe on their TE630 have a photo and/or comments. Uptite doesn't have any photos on their website yet and I am very interested. I'm not crazy about the looks of either the FMF or LV.

Last time I talked to him about it was may be a month ago, may be less. He still had to verify the bends for the pipe. I didn't quite know what he meant. But after seeing the FMF Q4, I'm guessing the bend on the mid pipe.
He can't verify it now, unless someone brings their TE 630 over. Because that's when I bough his last TE 630.

I took the long way home from town, love riding here in Flagstaff

Dang that's a sweet shot there, sethro. Nice compo. And the Husky red just pops. Nice detail with the painted logo on the cover

Ditto!! And it's my first bike which I will never ever ever sell. Btw what kind of paint did you use? I'm wanting to do the same.

Not much of a ride report, but I took a little trip this weekend. Almost 475 miles in 3 days. 166 of them was a big off road loop on Saturday. Verdigre, NE.

We didn't stop much for pics. Here's my favorite:

I got home and was going to lube my chain. I discovered a pretty badly worn rear sprocket with 3 broken teeth. I guess it's time for a new drivetrain. No point in lubing it up!

What?? 475 miles and we only get one photo??

Arrghhh...I can't believe it!

Nice photo, though

Nice ride this afternoon up to North Fork Resv near Salida,CO. Pretty sure the front fork is gonna get a revalve..... Only had one bolt jump off. It was the big bolt that holds the fuel tank in place. Great bike! Fun ride.

For whomever might be interested just ordered this handlebar pad from Ebay today. Minimal lettering/graphics, colors coordinate well with the 630 and only $9 shipped to your door.

UPDATE 10/1: DON'T BUY THIS PAD FOR YOUR TE630. RECEIVED PAD AND IT IS TOO SMALL FOR OUR BIKE, CAN'T BE MADE TO FIT PROPERLY. NOT NEARLY AS LARGE AS THE PRO TAPER PAD ON MY KTM (WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN MADE TO FIT PROPERLY).

I made some mods to my airbox cover....man it sounds great now...spend $9.99 at Bed Bath & Beyond on a 3-pack of splatter guards. Need to find some proper mesh and clean up the glue that is visible.

Seth, did you get the ranger or scout bags? I'm trying to decide. Leaning towards the smaller ones - figure leave them on for DS trail riding and will need a top bag anyway for camp gear.

I went with the big ones
