• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Pics Of Your 630!

This is how I want my screen to look like. Would like my bike to look this good as well but after a couple of Moroccan trips (crashes) it is somewhat more "aged"

Dual sports ride in Utah, from Green River to Moab. The pics are from Canyonlands National Park
(I have a yearly pass to all National Parks, and they let the other 3 motorcycles come in for free)

Look closely, there are a couple of motorcycles in this picture :-)

Neat spot for a ride

I prefer a front tyre with offset knobbs. I feel they provide a better all around grip, especially in the wet and muddy spots.

Fantastic trip. Certainly some gnarly hills and boggy areas to get through. Scenery is magic and I bet the bench racing after (eating and drinking) was great fun.
Thank you for sharing.
Ciao.

Just back from a week of 2-up riding in the San Juan Mountains around Silverton, Colorado. The 630 continues to be some of the smartest money I've spent. I made a seat that had her partially sitting on the rear rack and it was very comfortable (keeping in mind we're both small people). Took the lowering link off/tightened down the preload and compression damping/loosened up the rebound and we were able to chug right up some fairly tough trails.

Outstanding.
Did those passes two years ago on the Tiger XC. We kept saying we want to go back with the dualsports.
Nice pics! CO is amazing.

BTW, she's way above your pay grade. :)

Wow, who would have thought doing those passes two up on a 630. A hearty congrats to you both. The scenery is stunning too BTW.
Ditto CJ's last comment.
