  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st Please post pictures of your 2 stroke bikes.

ooops! hope mine never does that.... I shimmed my muffler over 3mm in the rear and 1.5mm in the front with washer cuz I supersized my back tire, still kisses it ever so slightly. barely see the brush marks. even the stock tire kissed it some before shims, so did a 110/100. with the addition of the bigger 120/100, glad I added some space. barooop!

the ol' air hammer!!!
Yep, no water pump seal to worry about here. :D Just HAVE to run race gas. I keep her for my green sticker bike, but everyone that rides it says, "I thought these things were suppose to suck" as they give her a big ol hug. I guess I should give the wr some exposure too.Picture 026.jpg

I don't see the anti ding-ding device. Is it an electric wr?
Yep the two bolts holding the silencer disappeared during the race yesterday. Was only halfway in to my first lap. I swear those were nylock nuts on those bolts. Oh well..better maintenance wouldve prevented that. I must be slippin...

New on here so thought I'd share my 2011 CR150 I bought this weekend. It's had one owner from new and is the third husky and the 19th 2stroke I've owned in 30+ years of racing cross. Have to say I was impressed with the quick test ride I had yesterday. I'm still recovering from a broken femur sustained racing the Veterans World Cup at the British MX GP at Matterly Basin in 2012 and the so the bike will be garaged over winter. I plan to strip, rebuild and convert to a road registered woods bike for a H&H and enduro season next year (as long as the leg is 100% again).

Plans include full strip and powder coat frame, an oversized tank, wrap round hand guards, sump & exhaust guards, lighting kit, new plastics & graphics, road registration.

Any other suggestions \ performance mods? A flywheel weight? Pipe? Power valve adjustment, jetting?? Anyway, got a few months to think about things and do it right so watch this space....

150: broken femur??? GWS mate....fak...that's my worst nightmare.... CR tiddler Is awesome. gas and big nads are all ya need.

Cheers mate. Was a big one! Broken in two places plus a posterior dislocation of shoulder. Crutches for 9months! Can't wait to rip the 150, can't beat a small bore smoker on the pipe baaaarrrrppppp!

Get well soon. I kinda fubared my bad ankle on my 11' 150-167 recently. Been on crutches too. This bike kicks ass.
