  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Post up pictures of your 4 stroke bikes!

Just finished up my project. Well, waiting on my throttle tube from George. '04 450 100th anniversary was bone stock a few months ago. Traded my Triumph Daytona 1200 straight up. Graphics from Moto-stylemx out of Slovakia. Aussie Mark Roberts runs the biz and I highly recommend these guys. Street legal in TN. No turns required. I made a custom mount for an led light bar (tail/brake). Plate is tucked under and fully visible, but inevitably the cops will pull me over. A few other custom bits.

Nice shot, I live in Thousand Oaks and the area looks very familiar, where is the area you were riding in?

Hey Pete, thanks. Racked my brain trying to determine the brake lever needed. Concluded it's the same as early Ducati Monsters and some others. Brake is BRF352-K and the Clutch is CHF32-R

Rotator clamp for brake is universal and clutch is listed as KTM Magura.

Well made, great fitment. I got the shorty's and like them.

09 TE510 just put on pivot pegz and an fmf q4 and a trail tech headlight just waiting for funds to allow a GPR stabilizer and i will be done!

Here's my first Husky, scored off Craigslist for $1400!. Just put on some fresh Pilot Power Pures and a Trailtech Vapor. So far I'm very happy with it.

Yup it is - with a 09 graphis kit from Ross Rocher Sales.
Gotta say i do love the 250 - dam thing is powerful!
traded off to my buddies 07 KTM SXF 250 - his just doesnt have the top end lunge mine does, but the husky does lack the off idle 2000- 5000rpm?) putting along characteristics.
I think with a TE rotor / flywheel it would be a great tight single track machine.
