  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Post up pictures of your 4 stroke bikes!

Rowher FlatView attachment 14249 before I took my first major spill, healed separated shoulder and a few replaced parts and I will be back out! lol

Is this a TE511 thing but I also seperated my shoulder on a fall just after I bought it ?
Had my titanium plate remover 2 weeks ago so I am ready to go again in another 2 weeks.

Hmm... on the TXC511 it is a broken wrist .... we need more data points !!!???

I love how quite the 449 is.
Thought of the fmf but it was louder on my old 250.
What is your opinion on the Db levels?

I would go the Akrapovic.
In Australia we get it free with the bike !
I believe the FMF Q is slightly louder and has a bit more of a bark.
The Akrapovic has a really nice relatively quiet note to it, but really free flowing.
You can also get an aftermarket moulded carbon fibre muffler guard.

Sweet ! Does the 2012 come with the red rims ? I like it. Also like what you've done with that pos rear plastic plate holder thingy. Looks way better how
you've done it.

It's a 2011, they are talon rims and hubs. Not really necessary, but I liked them....also the talon footpegs and the husky carbon skid plate, all the little husky red anodized stuff, the unbrakable levers, force radiator guards and clutch cover....

I've now put bark users on, and the carbon husky chain guide, and I am about to put on the motosportz disc guards, Scott steering damper, the trick red silicone hoses, and strapz front and rear....

It's just a great bike, I love that motor...it has just soaked up everything I've thrown at it.....just great!

Wow, that is sweet looking

Just got my Decal Works graphics installed - they are the "Super" series with the "Impact" font.

You'll notice I went with a "Tricolore" theme, which I think means "pizza delivery" in Italian.
