  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Post up pictures of your 4 stroke bikes!

This is the sexiest Husky I've even seen. Possible inspiration for a purchase I feel is coming shortly.

Heres a 2011 TE511 - Amazing Bike and love it.
Riding
Trails and quarries, some roadwork, local and in Wales where green lanes are pretty good -can be technical (In Wales people ride dirtbikes on the
roads with no plates lights anything nobody says anything they love dirtbikes over there) MX Tracks , Some events

Mods and messing about

Custom silencer cover (dented it the day i had it, got pissed to celebrate and it fell over on top of me in the back garden - hadn't even ridden it)
47T Talon Back sprocket
Race map II + Akro pipe comes as with bike in the UK - Use the standard can as a log burner. (feel sorry for you guys in the states getting that as stock - must have left a shit first impression)
Custom Graphics
Haul Loop Front and rear, Neoprene fork covers (www.kreiga.com)
Fork air Bleeders (fro-systems)
Bar Pad - Pro taper
Husky special parts Petrol cap and Oil filler red anodized
Akroprovik carbon exhaust guard
Heat shielding to front clear petrol tank
25mm Bar risers
Pirellis - Scorpian mid hard

Love the machine, 3rd husky this ones much more of a lady than the 570 and she doesnt like KTM's.
Suspension soft out the crate, needed 5 turns of pre-load and much stiffer on the clickers, Back end just feels planted all the time.
At first not massively impressed with the gearbox, too close and tended to miss first a-lot (no room to adjust the lever up - and have to take the chain off to try)
Spits out the oil if you fill it anywhere near top mark - cries and makes a mess, like a spoilt kid throwing toys out of the pram
Stare hard at the stock hand guards and they will snap off
Drown her and your'e in trouble, no kick start = carry some small jumpleads and nick power off your mates on KTMs
Carry a 1 litre water bottle - fuel consumption heavy - more than the 570,- nick fuel off your mates on KTMs
Love the machine.

She likes KTMs really - just plays hard to get.

Here's my 12' TE511
TE 511 004.jpg
The stock back tire says it all! Like Wendy's use to say "WHERES THE BEEF"? I'm trying to see if the stocker tires will last until the plate comes!

I've Got The Moptosportz steering dampner, and Jd tuner on the way. I'm debating on the FMF pipe and header. I heard Husky put a lot of research into this ehhaust?

Did you need to install an LED relay w/the new LED turn signals? Or, did you simply connect the stock turn signal wires to the new LED lights? What brand did you get?

I just took my license plate bracket apart and took off the turn signals.

Mike
