  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Post up pictures of your 4 stroke bikes!

100% is worth going to! Sunny Corner is a huge area with everything from open fire trails to endless single track. We also ride Oberon, Hampton and Jenolan a lot which is cream riding.

was just up there saturday sliding around in the ice. nice wolf pack there.

Oh nice! Sounds fun minus the ice part. We were there a few weeks ago. Snowy in some spots but traction was kick ass. Was out at Ocotillo this past weekend...

Got the CRF450 titanium slip-on just about done. Need to re-weld a midpipe mount tab as I had ground it off in order to rotate the stock midpipe to a different angle. Otherwise, titanium midpipe slid over stock midpipe like a dream. Had to trim both mid pipes. Gonna slit the sides of the Vance&Hines midpipe and purchase another stock exhaust clamp and I'll be golden. I like how it has a really upswept style like some of the euro streetfighter bikes I've seen. I thought maybe I left in too much midpipe but after looking at other brand slipons intended for the TE, I think the length is just fine. Now I need a damn JD tuner in order to make it run right. Also, took the hideous stock heat shield from the old pipe and trimmed it down to fit over the rear portion of the midpipe.
I will most likely trim down the rear fender to clean it up a bit and wanted this pipe to blow heat over the turn signals, not onto them like my buddy's slipon does on his 511 SMR.
The pipe doesnt quite tuck in as nice as the ones made for this bike but please understand Ladds, I got this pipe for a stupid low price.
