• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Post up pictures of your vintage Husqvarna bikes!

Came with the bike. Got a rough 77 qualifier I am restoring to look like a 76 Off road. Always preferred the white tankers .:)

Before picture

A picture of my most interesting project right now; 390 WR -78. It´s in mechanically good condition, but is going to get frame and tank paint. Picture was taken by the previous owner before he sold the engine and before he found the original tank.

glacierburst76,
That's gonna be a nice ride, but that throttle cable is scary!!
You've already re-routed it, right? RIGHT??

but that throttle cable is scary!!

Picklito, Already replaced it with a original gasser with new cable from husky parts. Routed it properly underneath that big tank,Wich has to go. I thought the same thing. What if a tree branch snag's cable in aaaaabaaa boom!! I snapped that pick the day I got it. I will repost new picks after restore. Thank's again for jetting tip's.

Thank you.

These bikes were built for me by the late Stan Beni AKA the Old husky dude.

The 250 was one of the last of his builds. Still trying to get the jetting square on it. I have a new mikuni ordered for it. It should scream then.

Blessings

Doug

Here's Mad Max about to go out to play. It's a 1991 frame with a 1998 610 motor, motard wheels and a whole lot of attitude issues. The wiring is a complete project and you can see what's happened to the plastic and the rattle can paint on the frame isn't much better. I have had it for a little less than a year. It's a complete blast, and it's a keeper for sure.
