• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

POST YOUR RACING PICTURES HERE

Off the start you were slow to get away as was the guy on the right that took you down .
Dont know if its just me but $hit happens and if I had a £ for every start I got wrong and hundreds of others I would be a rich man.
Yep its a bummer but thats racing and I dont or wouldnt blame the guy at all, BUT at the time I would want to rip his head off

There is always a few people that have never made a bad start - had a bad race - never crashed - never forgot to turn the fuel on ect ect ect but that really aint the real world so enjoy the bike and practice your starts

Here is my truck/race set up!

It has been a very rainy summer here in New England! Torrential downpours pretty consistently.
It was great trails, lots of good tight single track, but very muddy!

Managed to take 1st in C Senior, 3rd overall in C, and finally earned enough Promotion points to get the bump to B!

2012 los Ancianos Tecate Hare Scramble on the Race kitted 2011 TE310 on way to 3rd from 9 in the 50+ Ex class, on trophy. Very consistant lap times L1 1:22:08 L2 was 1:22:39 we all held positions for the entire race, the P1 guy was from Hawaii and smoked me and P2 guy (one of my local crew) I was about 30 seconds a lap slower than my friend in P2. The P1 guy was like 10 minutes ahead of us, smoked us! But what I really like about this foto is that Im on the gas coming down on the sand bank into the sand wash

Coco, not too far from my house. Maybe 35 minutes. I get close to the track on some of my trail rides!
Stupid Auto Correct! COVI, not Coco!!!

Best finish yet on the Beta, 4th in C-Vet. Ties my best finish in this series so far that I got on the 177. 39th overall from 190.

Old School me #64 on the 1991 KTM300EXC lining up on minute 6 behind a minute of some of the fast guys.....LR 53 on his KLX 4T, 1994 Los Ancianos Tecate 250K Enduro staging from Testarazo south of Tecate BC Mex.. I houred out, but I rode out the course rather than jumping on a dirt road back to the staging area. This was one of my first races..and I chose one of the most hardcore in the region. This was a time keeper but knowing the speed average of 24, I did not care and whenever I saw those fast guys stop and watch their clocks I would stop and wait a minute until they left, later I was so far behind all that did not matter- hit a check and blast down the trail as fast as I could go (not very fast mind you). Note BLK Sidi boots with Blue duct tape gaiters over JT Dogger Dalmation pants!! Red enduro jacket with a freaking Kaw green Marushin helmet (from my KDX200 days) with Mil Spec reflective tape graphics......fashion dudes!! The perfect bike with an imperfect pilot.

Clobbered a tree on the Beta 2 weeks ago and found out I bent the bar clamp hardware on Saturday while going over it for Sunday's enduro. Could not locate replacement bolts in town so the ol' Husky got called off the bench.

Only finished 8th in class. I am not very good at endless miles of NJ sand whoops :excuseme:

Awesome!
I had a few Netra races on studded tires earlier this winter, but could not make it to any of the early NJ Enduro races this year.
Heading to Alaska tmw morning to backcountry snowmobile for 2 weeks.
I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to go, which meant passing on the Enduros.
Some of my friends are making it down for a few though.
I ran a friends ktm 150 for this race. Just sold my 2017 te300 to pick up the new tpi 300!
