• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

1982 at Bridgehampton.... Leading into turn 6... Yoshima 400f I built to start racing. Practiced "off road" in the sand out of this turn once on my GPz and motored right through it and never lost position. Got my first real dirt bike, my Husky 310, late in 2012 ;-)

We talked about this but wow Bridgehampton I have been there during road races , but I think it was after I got out of military so around 1984

That's right....Third in Vet B. First full year of racing and First Podium in new class. 3rd overall in series points. The top two guys are literally giants at over 6'4. They look SO awkward on their KTM's at those heights but they RIP****************************************

Annual Hangover harescramble. Going in to this year's race, I have been 4 for 5 on getting buried in the mud at this venue (it is on the coast and below sea level). Didn't have to worry about that this year. It was about 6* when I got there and a whopping 11* by the end of it. It was that way all week leading up to this race, so no mud to be found :D

I felt like I rode decently enough for how treacherous it was. Top 5-10 at least. When they posted the results I was extremely surprised. This is my first ever podium in a harescramble, previous best has been a pair of 5ths.

2018 AMA National Hare and Hound round 2, D-38, Roadrunners MC, King of the Desert. On way to a safe 9th 50A from 16 starters in class ( I ride these more than race them, somewhat out of my element in the dez), friends in 50A class did great at this one Gio Spinalli P2, Big Frank Z (our Polish Nightmare) P3, Mr. Husky John K 5th. John towed me through the first 60 miles , I latched on with him for the 1st loop.
