As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
I wouldn't drill it, keep it quiet.
Does Maryland have the same EPA poo as California?
It does, but you won't be able to modify a Q4 to a 4.1 performance. Vice verse, you cannot modify a 4.1 to be as quiet as a Q4 and I am not sure you want that.

I recently installed the TC Air Box in my TE511, with the 4.1 and megabomb header, man this thing is really loud. I now need to wear ear plugs![]()

Haha, no. I just didn't want you to modify such a wonderful quiet silencer. The 4.1 is loud and really needs the quiet insert with the spark arrestor of course![]()
Can ZipTy Racing do this for me? I would like the Megabomb + 4.1 with spark arrestor and quiet insert. As of January 1st, 2013, you can no longer legally add an aftermarket exhausst to any street licensed motorcycle unless you had previously purchased one prior to that date.
Yes, FMF used to give me the run around, not because of some conspiracy, but their sales pepole just don't know. If you called up Zipty and asked me about Kawasaki, I'd scratch my head..Husky or Yammy, no problem.
Megabomb + 4.1 is the way to go, not sure it matches to a powercore. You can get a Q4 if you like less dB's, but will sacrafice substantial HP.
Not sure about Maryland...
Thanks,In order to put the megabomb on your TE, you will need to order for the TC449. Megabomb, 4.1 & oem mounting hardware. FMF stopped making the header, so you will have to hunt around to find one, don't wait too long to do so.
I believe I have managed to order the TC 449 Megabomb and 4.1 from FMF. I'll be calling Husky and Moose for the other parts.
