  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Ha ha ha.....um I don't want a new Husky/KTM.
I'm one of the types of people mentioned above that hated my TE449 originally for it's efi issues but really like it now.
I would loved to have seen how it evolved from the great bike it is to a newer model.:thumbsup:

And I don't wanna vs anyone....:)

Like him or not Tinken / ZipTy have enhanced my ride experience and made my bikes a good bit better thought testing and providing info. I have zero issues paying $10 more if thats a case as they have more than earned it for me. I like to support those that have helped me. I know what a huge cost it is to bring something new into the states and all the issues in doing so. My guess is they make very little to nothing on these.

Someone mentioned a ways back in the GT216AA Tire test thread. $ 145.00 for a front tire? If that's the tire he meant. It would be $35.00 more !!! I didn't assume though, or just take it out of context or I would have said it was $35.00 more. That said I don't care who you support. Aren't you a ZipTy distributor? Hello?

Take a chill pill and maybe quit trying to convert everybody to your "as usual" thinking please.

I checked "like" on the last bunch of threads, even yours.
 
Huh? Was just making a point from my personal standpoint in a forum. Was not reading anything into it. :excuseme: Much like supporting your local dealer so they are still there when you need them. I also buy my gas and trail snacks in small towns nearest my trail head just to support the local community even though it is more expensive to do so. Not sure how you read anything more into what I posted but thats what i was saying.

No not really. I am signed up as a dealer but have sold nothing to date, just bought some stuff for personal use. I did offer to send Dangermouse a cover vent because he was having issues ordering. Again was simply pointing out why I personally buy from ZTR nothing more.

I don't see where i did any of that.

Never tried to convert anyone (even confused to what I might be converting them to) and everyone is free to hit the ignore button.
 
Decent, looks like the same price. Good deal.

Where I ride I have to have a Pistol always at the ready. If you don't you may be walking home off the "Coyote and Mule" Trails. Or crawling out to the nearest road if your not left for Dead. LOL! Its great sport watching the parade though. Especially when they all "Quail" as the helicopter I just got done calling into the areas coordinates comes swooping in. That's the best use of my GPS.. Works every time.

Crazy how much of an issue it is. If I wasn't stationed there I wouldn't fully understand it. I can't say I'd ride alone out there.

Tinken-not going to lie, that price sounds a lot better :). Reading all of Robertaccio's posts has me hooked on all the Euro racing stuff. I still need to throw my headlight back on too :). Are you all plan it on carrying other tires from GT? I'm still trying to get over the idea of running a different tire front and rear. On sport bikes it's a big no no

Send me your address and I'll send you the cap for free as I want to help in your time of need. I also have a seat cover and foam as I swapped mine out for a seat concepts. Need that too? Thanks to Kelly i got the proper Fuel Cap in the mail on my way to Down Under..


and people please stop the almost USUAL bashing like KTM owners do against Italo Husky owners.
 
My bike has Motoz Terrapactor s/t's right now. I like the tires a lot more then the stock txc tires but don't have much to compare it to with limited dirt time. Really like the idea of this tire because they seem to ride what I ride 90% of the time. Either way I'm not buying anything until the winter tear down.
