• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

You just picked it up brand new? Email some riding reviews and post some pictures. Welcome to Cafe Husky!

Hi! Name's Jimmy, just bought a 2009 510 SMR. I have had it 2 months and put 2500 miles on it, and still can't wipe the smile off my face! I'm anxious to absorb some of the knowledge this forum has to offer!

Hey All,

Been lurking here for a while but just wanted to say hello, some of the New England folks know me as I take some photos every now and then for Trail Rider Magazine and Offroad Champions at the NETRA Enduro and Hare Scramble events. Thinking of getting my nephew a new bike and Husky is looking pretty good, I had a 1985 WR 250 back in the day.

Hi. I'm in the market for another bike. I am seriously considering a 07 WR250 if I can sell my Honda 450X. It's not the bike for me anymore. I want a 2t that rips in the nasty stuff. I have heard this is the bike for that. I also found a 08 CR125 for the same price and it's brand new. I am 6'3" and weigh around 190 most the time and am not sure if a 125 would work for me. I love the way it fits me and think small bore bike are cool. I pretty much only ride tight single track and know that both should do the job. Just don't know which is best. The 250 is owned by a friend and is pristine. He has four Husky's and this one has to go.

Any suggestions? :D

Your enthusiasm on this site is contagious! I've been lurking here for awhile and posted a few times, but just today ordered an 09 WR250, so I'll be adding a Husky to my collection. Can't wait.
Currently have a KTM 250XCW, KTM 950 SE, XR400, Sherco 2.9, and Yamaha FZ-1. I've been told that I need to get help :excuseme:

Hello, decooney here. I'm using this forum to help a friend to do research, and he wants to buy a Husky this week.

FinnDuro from Finland here. Currently riding a KTM 950 SE -09, and a KTM 250 EXC-R -03. Hoping to learn some actual enduro riding skills with the 250 now, and maybe step up to the new models within a year or two.

Hi Folks

I'm 42 yrs old, live in Australia.

Currently riding a 2004 Yamaha WR450

Looking at going back to 2 stroke

Lots of favourable reports on the WR300 and sounds like the new suspenders are the go.

Got my name down at the local dealer when they run a ride day next
