• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi, my name is Dave and I'm new to this forum

My current ride is an 07 TE510 and I also have a fairly mint 94 ATK 406 (which, surprisingly is quicker than the 510 through the bush :excuseme:)

So a big g'day to y'all and I hope to talk to some of you soon.

Hey everybody I bought my bike last summer 2006 610sm I want to change it to a TE which is why I joined this site to figure out how.

Hi from a new member,

I've just bought a 2000 WR360 for trail riding and general clowning around. It's been a few years since I've ridden (due to family commitments) but it is sooo nice to go for a ride & blow the cobwebs out.

One thing I have noticed is that I'm wearing a lot more safety equipment now. I must be growing up. When I was younger an old helmet and boots was as far as it goes. Now, I'm looking at neckbraces and thinking... 'Can I afford it? Can I afford not to?'

I'm having the usual trials with the bike. It's a lovely bike but it's bit old so some parts need replacing and it needs jetting but that's half the fun. You can be sure that I'll be trawling the forum for jetting tips. It's a bit of a puzzle but I'm up for it. :D

Cheers

Hi,

FNG from Alabama. I don't have a husky yet but might very soon. Currently I ride a DRZ and am looking to upgrade to a new 08 sm610.

Great to find this forum!

When not injured (30%), I run motocross on a crf250r

When kind of injured (40%), I run a 08 TE610 where ever possible

When super injured (30%), I ride a Harley Deuce on the street

And so it goes with getting old, but my Husky is a great stress reliever.

What's up fellas,
I'm Dustin, from Asheville, NC. I'm all about cuttin' up the appalachian mountainsides. I've had my Husky since early 08 and am just now realizing how much of a community there is. I just stumbled upon Motosportz a couple weeks ago, been trying to get those dampers off my mind ever since. Fuel Injected 510's are squirrly without though.. First time forum joiner/user.

Hi all.
Just joined Cafe Husky. Recently purchased a new 09 TXC450. First new bike for 30 years. :applause:Husky Aus were selling 'em real cheap. Previously had KTM 2 and 4 strokes, still got my 2000 DRZ and an 05 CCM404.
Jeez that TXC is a weapon its almost like cheating****************************************!.

Almost a Husky owner! Put a deposit down on a TE630 a couple months ago with expectations of late May/ early June delivery. Don't think I can hang on till then! Bad case of channels. Hoping Cafehusky can keep me sane with some juicy TE630 tidbits until then.

Hi all,
Recently purchased an '06 TE610. Love it so far!
Had to have it lowered before I could ride it.
