• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

MFI Husqvarna

Hi....My name is Dan DiMaio. I work @ the Motorcycle Factory Inc in Woodbridge, VA. We specialize in off road riding & racing. We also carry the full line of Husqvarna motorcycles.

G'day from an Aussie.

G'day, I have just bought a 2008 TE450 as my first dirtbike coming from 15 years as a road rider.

It has taken a while to get use to letting a bike move around under me and I still have troubles standing up and having confidence in the front tyre gripping through corners.

I go riding with a couple of experienced mates who are helping me out so I am having fun, just falling off quite a bit.

Coming from a road bike i had no idea how important maitinence is with off road bikes. It seems as though air filters are the most important as I already know that my bike starts to cough through the back end of a ride. (Can you use K&N filters?)

Anyway looking forward to trolling through the posts and learn more about these great bikes.

Just bought my first Dirt bike in many years. I now have a 2009 TE 450

Used to have XR200 and then a KTM 250 EXC back in England the eighties and if pressed I'll admit to off railroading my old BSA Bantam on road tires - i learnt a lot from that - like get a real dirt bike.....
I always wanted a Husky after seeing Hakan Carlqvist back in the day

Looking forward to getting the Husky run in and unrestricted then tackle some of the wonderful Californian rides.

Cheers

Paul

Hello

I'm Rob, live in Northern Virginia.

Been riding a KDX 200 and recently bought a leftover 09 300 at a price I couldn't refuse.

Other bikes are a Honda 919, TTR 225 for friends to mess around on and 1965 Vespa.

If you are in the area look me up, I know some good places to ride.
