• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hello. My name is Rob. I'm a union plumber/pipefitter/welder. I just purchased a beat up 95 WXC 350 with an older Baja Designs street legal kit.

07 SM610 Adv ride up in the Nor-Cal redwoods. The 610 has 16k on it and is running strong. This is my 41st year of motorcycling and my 33rd bike. This is one I will keep.

Hello all; I am from Bend, Oregon and I ride an 06 TE 450 bought it new and now have a ittle over 14,000 miles on it. Almost all offroad.
I have been riding for 28yrs and have had all makes of bikes but this is the best dirt bike I have ever had. It was a tossup between the TE and an orange bike, but this one suits me much better.
I am looking forward to being part of this forum, thanks for making it happen.
Ride while you can:thumbsup::cheers:

Hi everyone.I'm from the north of England and ride a 03 wr 250 which I can find no reason to change. It's not perfect but it's the best bog transport I've owned. It's tough as old boots and easy to maintain.
I ride whenever I can but in the UK there are fewer and fewer trails to ride.
I also have a 08 Gas Gas txt 300 trials bike.A small collection of classic Kawasakis and an interest in motorcycle restoration.
I'm on the lookout for a 1970s husky but they are very thin on the ground in the UK.I can aford to be patient though as I have a 83 Z1000r Eddie Lawson rep to restore first. One day.

new at CH

hi there - new CH member from the low country - Holland - got myself a brandspanking new '10 TE450 this spring - adore her looks but still there's a lot to get used to when riding her - on things for sure; this bella macchina has way more character than any of the bikes I rode - happy riding to all Husky fans out there!

Hi everyone,
I've been lurking for quite a while.
So here is my first post.

I ride street, track and dirt.
I'm looking at adding a 610/630 possibly.
Thanks for maintaining this forum!

Cheers!

Been riding my whole life, just upgraded from a 1997 Honda CR125 to my first Husky, a 2004 TC250. Looking forward to learning a lot.

2010 te 310

Im from Newcastle Australia and the TE is my 2nd bike (Previously had a Yamaha TTR 250 - a terrific machine but I suppose I "out grew it"). I've just got 1000km on it and loved every second.

A few minor issues :

3rd Spark plug - They have all fouled as I have the restrictors and oxy sensor removed so the fuel injection runs off a map. The dealer reckons the settings are spot on but the wet fouling is deffo due to a rich mix!

Fork Seals - I clean the buggers regularly and I wash the bike after every ride but after 800km thay have failed on me esp. the left. They're "not covered by warranty" but Im hoping the dealer will help me out.

I love trail bike riding after only getting into it 18mths ago, but ive gone in hard and fast and have barely missed a weeks ride since! I have basic mechanical knowledge and will help if I can.

Cheers!

Hi, I'm DAve,
(therapy group chimes in "Hi Dave")
I am a vintageholic

New to group, I was a guest and finally admitted my problem and I showed up here for support.
I had got my first fix in 1975 with a 75' 250GP.

After I got clean in 1981, I fell off of the wagon in 2006 when I discovered vintage racing. After rebuilding an 80' CR250 Elsinore, I realized that I am now at the bottom of the crankcase again.

I have found myself buying a few parts here and there, a 72' MJ CR400 roller. I knew I was in deep when I was scouring the country for a set of cases and then an engine. I am now restoring the beast and have used all of the [STRIKE]sympathy[/STRIKE] support that I can find.
I have been coming up empty trying to find the right information regarding the correct powder coat color. I found that help here, and look forward to further therapy and hope to help others.
